Poll: Optimist or Pessimist

I'd say pessimist. I usually can't see things getting any better than they are.
I just see them getting worse and worse.

If I'm being honest with myself, then I tend toward pessimism. However, if I am indulging in fantasy, as I most often do, then I lean toward optimism. So, short answer: it depends.

EDIT: Honestly, I have no idea how somebody can be optimist without being ignorant. Idealism/Optimism is great in practise, but time and time again it gets shit all over. Infact, I think that is what makes pessimists; people who were optimistists and woke up.

I'm an optimistic pessimist. I KNOW that life sucks and kicks your ass most of the time, but I still try to enjoy it as best as I can and have some hope for the future.

Half empty, because the water was most of the time removed to get to that state.
But, there might be a refill somewhere down the road.
