If you don't consider this thread a little too personal/intrusive then do you care to tell us something about your oral hygiene?

How often do you brush your teeth?(see poll)
How many times have you went to see the dentist(if you've been keeping track)?
How many fillings you you have(if you've been keeping track)? + How old are you?(I really wonder what a age/teeth problems ratio would look like)
Do you have any secrets that you'd like to share about your 10K $ smile/really nice white teeth?

And if you feel like sharing anything else regarding the subject, feel free to do so.

Now for my part of the deal:
1. I try to do it twice a day but usually when I go to sleep I'm so tired(or just fall asleep at the PC) that I forget.
2. ... Yeah, I doubt anyone can answer this one.
3. If I recall right I only have 3 fillings(everyone in a different corner of my mouth) and a dead tooth(I still don't know why if just died on me like that!)
Oh and I'm 19 for those keeping track of the questions!
4. I asked you about pearly white teeth because everyone says I have them, but I always think they're lying.

I've just had my wisdom teeth removed... ouchies.

Apart from them, I have nice teeth - white, straight and strong. I brush twice a day, don't floss, don't use mouthwash, but have one filling, no caps and no crowns.

I'm 23.

My diet is not really tooth-friendly, so I'm putting my good teeth down to genetics. I very rarely see dentists - maybe once every 5 or so years?

I brush when i wake up and have breakfast, before i leave the house at any time, and before i go to bed. Plus if i feel the need to brush them, i.e. after drinking coke.

I brush every morning and every night, flossing both times.

Ummm for the past ten or so years it has been twice per year for cleaning and such though I think in that time I have needed to go more for a filling or two. I will soon need to go in for wisdom tooth removal though, that'll be fun.

I have about three fillings, two from within the past four years on my top right molars and one from like 8 or 9 years ago on one of my left bottom molars.

I'm 18 (in about a month, but when it's this close I am rounding for stuff like this)

Nope no secrets here.

Overall I think my teeth are pretty healthy despite a few roadbumps here or there. Dentist says they're pretty healthy too.

Why would you not floss? I mean, I get not caring too much about it, and only doing it every now and then, but simply not doing it is...odd.

I brush twice a day and use mouthwash. I have never had a filling (and touch wood, that will continue) or any real oral problems. I am 21 and I see my dentist once every six months, however, my teeth aren't exactly straight as my front two teeth have a slight overlap, but its not a problem. All in all I have pretty good oral hygiene.

I'm terrible when it comes to my teeth. I have trouble remembering to brush and floss regularly and this is made worse by the fact that I already have weak teeth. I've had fillings in every molar at one point or another and almost had to have a root canal due to the fact that I knocked out one of my fillings and never got it fixed.

Brush twice a day (electric toothbrushes are a worthy investment).

(//touch wood) never had a filling or an extraction and am 36. I could probably use my left side wisdoms removing but last time that I looked in to it the dentist wanted to give me a quote and I told him that I didnt want him to build a fucking conservatory, just take an effing tooth out.

That said I haven't been to the dentist since I was in University.

I do have a chip in one of my rear right side molars that I should get looked out, result of grining my teeth in an effort not to bitchslap my doctor. In hindsight it might have been cheaper to lump the tosser and get it over with.

I wouldn't say my teeth were uber white but I wonder if that is because I am on the wrong side of 35. But bleaching seems like a pissant affectation and I don't do that.

I suspect I am genetically predisposed to having long-lasting teeth.

Hey, I forget. My mum never taught us to, so it's not a learned habit for me.

At least I'm vigilant about brushing. That counts, right? Right?!

1. I brush two times aday, but I dont' do it -every- day, but I try to keep that schedule.

2. I go to the dentist about once a year.

3. I have three fillings that I remember myself having (one actually fell out and had to be redone!), and I'm 22.
Two of the fillings I got when I were in a state of depression- didn't really give a shit about my dental health+ bad dental genes from my mother. (yes, this time I CAN blame it on mommy.)

4: The secret to a white smile is good brushing over the visible teeth+ good dental hygiene.

I'm in the RAN, so basically, we could do shit all to our teeth and they'll get fixed every 2 months.. but I do brush and all that to save on having to get em fixed all the time :)

I try to brush twice a day (after breakfast and before bed), but not always.
I see the dentist once a year
I have no fillings (though I have something that might be needed to be filled later in life, right now it is contained with this putty stuff)
and I'm 20
