Personally I prefer to go paragon with my main Shepard. I wanted to prove that humans are ready to be a council race and are level headed enough to do it. That being said though, I did kill the council, as I felt
A) It was the soundest option from a strategic standpoint to keep the forces back rather than risk losing many ships to save one.
and B) seriously, fuck the council.

I'm kinda on the fence.

I have two Shepherds. A female Paragon and a male Renegade. Paragon's ready for ME3. Renegade I still need to beat ME2 with.

Yeah I think I explained that badly. Lets try again. In Skyrim the characters feel lifeless. It doesn't feel like you are doing something bad when you lie to them or steal from them. In a Bioware game, especially dealing with your squad, the characters have a defined personality and react appropriately. You can actually feel bad if you wrong a character, like
Tali's loyalty misson where you give the father's evidence of what he did on the ship with the geth parts,

Paragon. At least, the majority. ME1 Renegade choices always grated on my nerves; they would always make male Shepard sound so whiny, and female Shepard completely devoid of emotion. The only Renegade act I took in ME1 was giving the Cerberus info to the Shadow Broker. I figured it might be a good thing to have the galaxy's preeminent information broker owe me a favor. Once I saw what he did to Liara and my body, I did another playthrough and told him to go to hell. So yeah, pretty much all Paragon there.

ME2 Renegades were better, I'll give it that; I can't resist taking a few of the action commands and when I tell off the Illusive Man I use the Renegade speech, but I'm still predominantly Paragon.

Probably 85% Paragon 15% Renegade. She's a CO I'd follow. Tough but fair. With a disposition for camaraderie and the heart to grab a difficult situation by the balls.

Renegade stuff is mostly actions. Like in ME2, headbutting that merc down the Dantius Towers. "How about goodbye?" So amazingly 90s action, it always makes me smile.

Personally, I prefer to go for Paragon. However, that doesn't mean Shepard can't flip off the odd authority figure when he/she deems it necessary. I always prefer to go for the "nicer" options in game, anyway, since not being a jerk will generally get me what I want in-game.

I went paragade almost perfectly and the game basically said "fuck you" and I lost every female save for Miranda.

Dat ass saved herself by not being annoying and picking fights with a cool character like Albert Legion.

I always pick the paragon options though if an NPC particularly irks me, I throw in a renegade.
