Nintendo Wii, based solely on the fact that the games it offers are probably the most varied from those found on PC. Many Xbox and PS3 games are also found on PC or have similar types of games...and so you really aren't missing that much.

Nintendo is a more unique style of game play which can fill those niches the PC doesn't.

I´m a pc gamer and i own a ps3. I´d go with the ps3... a few of xbox360´s exclusives like mass effect 1 can be played on a PC. Wii´s motion controls (which is the only thing that interests me in that console) can now be seen on the ps3 with Move. With ps3 i get:

-excusives like GT5, God of War 3, Ratchet and Clank games, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, etc...

-A BluRay player

-Free online features (you have to pay for xboxLive)

So i´m sticking with it.

well, pancakes actually.

But a Wii is fun with friends (and might get me some more exercise) so that might be a buy or else a ps3 IF it has otherOS and ps2 compatibility (have a game or two I play on a borrowed ps2 very irregularly) otherwise I don't need a console.

The reason to get a console - and I'd like to do this soonish, actually - is to be able to play very different games than the ones that I will continue to play on the PC. So... will it be golf and bowling or Little Noby Noby Big Katamari Boy Planet? hmmm...

(not a question [almost])

I have a PS3 because well i have always stayed with the PS series and the PS3 just still has the types of games that i like play, the 360 has games that i dont even want to play or games that i would rather get for the PC/PS3.

Pancakes. Otherwise the Wii. It offers the most "complementary" gameplay. The other two consoles are much closer to being computers that you can plug into your TV (and I already have that). The wii seems to fill a different niche.

My main gaming platform is my PC, but I do have a 360. I don't use it that much. The majority of the games I have bought for it I haven't finished. I don't play FPS on it because for me, I'm used to the precision of a keyboard and mouse. Plus I refuse to pay to play stuff online if I so choose.

PS3, I've grown accustomed to little things like "free multiplayer" and "product reliability"

I'd consider myself mainly a PC gamer, and in the last year or so I've got a 360 and a PS3. Gotta say I enjoy them both on their merits, but they'll never become my system of choice. In my mind, they still can't compete with the level of precision and customisation you can get from PC gaming.

I'd love a Wii too, except I can't get past the fuzziness of an SD console on a large tv...

OT: I gave a Gaming PC, PS3 and a Wii, and my Favourite console would be my PS3. Still, im not sure that im a PC Gamer. Something about owning a Gaming PC doesnt automatically make me a PC Gamer.
What's wrong with being labelled as both a PC and console gamer?

As a PC gamer, there is no end to my laments (read: bitching) to the late or lack of demos, shitty ports, missing DLCs, the whole shenanigan.
WHERE IS ASSASSIN'S CREED BROTHERHOOD FOR THE PC, UBISOFT? AT LEAST GIVE US A BLOODY RELEASE DATE WHY DON'T YOU.

OT: I'd get a PS3. Aside from the fact that it has Blu-ray, I like PS3 exclusives better. And I've always wanted to try Uncharted.

I have a gaming PC and as for consoles:
2 PS2's, PS3, PSP, GBP, GBA, DSLite, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Xbox.

Out of the poll options, I probably play my PS3 the most, so that.

What is so wrong with owning more than one console if you play on a PC? It is called being a "gamer". I play tons of different genres over different systems. I'm not going to not play something just because it is on a different system (though a 360 does seem kinda worthless to me. Having a PS3 and a PC, only game I'd buy that is 360 exclusive is Dead Rising, and I have DR2 on PS3 anyway).

After well over 20 years with PC i can only say pancakes. Why would i ever invest into something that in no way is an improvement but rather limitation? For 300$ that a console is worth i could get a better video card or new motherboard to further improve my PC, allowing me both smoother gameplay and better 'specialistic' software performance.

No games released on consoles that are not available for PCs interest me. Untill consoles will fully support design software like Adobe pack or various 3d design apps i doubt i'll even consider them as something worth spending money on. Even then, the static hardware configuration of consoles is a big turn-off for me.

Bottom line, i like my flexibility with PCs, something that consoles won't support anytime soon from the looks of it (hai Sony), plus i'm mostly strategy/rpg/mmo player, all those genres are not really represented on consoles properly.

I pretty much never play on the consoles, since I prefer playing on the pc. But if I have to pick one of today's consoles it would be the WII. Not because I like waving my arms around like a total idiot, but because they hold donkey kong hostage.

I have both consoles, however, I really could do with just the PS3. Honestly can't remember the last time I touched the 360.
