As I was reading all of the responses I saw a lot of people point out that urine in most cases is not a harmful substance in which I agree. Also, I've urinated in the shower all my life, but in a public shower like at a gym I'd avoid this behavior. Though for all those who say "eww gross" I would like to bring to your attention that if you've ever stayed at a hotel or live in a previously used apartment someone may have already pissed in your shower. Please keep that in mind.

The last time I peed in the shower was probably about 5 years ago. I remember not liking the smell of pee mixed with hot water so I never did it again.

Since when you do it in a toilet right before, you have to wait before getting in the shower, yes, I do. It saves time and isn't really any kind of major hygiene issue.

I pee in the shower, it's basically going down the drain anyway. it's not that gross, it's just pee. After all, the dirt, sweat and other bodily/non bodily substances clinging to your person goes on the floor too, I see no harm in adding a bit of dirt if there's shampoo going over it anyway. showers are meant to clean (and relax, I do love me some peace and quiet in the shower, water trickling away in the absence of light.), and no one is ever clean going in.Most of the pee gets washed away, and what remains is just as dirty as the bit of dirt, the remains of shampoo etc.

Peeing in a bath is only acceptable if you then leave the bath, sitting in soiled water is kinda gross, seeing as long term exposure to pee makes you a raging mutant, and the only cure for that is a banana. *ahem*
seriously, don't pee in a bath you have to sit in.

(I thought taking a shower is more common than taking a bath, it seems a lot of people are talking about bath. do you have them together? in this house they are separate, mhh. This is intriguing. Cleansing rituals.)

Makes me wonder how many people on this thread who don't pee in the shower don't mind the sex thing. And why? I mean, surely, it can't be anymore sanitary.

It's gross - you shouldn't do it - move on!
Bara im gonna guess you wouldn't be opposed to sex in the shower, any thoughts on what game lover said so you get to say something new in this years thread? :p
Also bara is not exagerating, back when i joined in 2009 i think this was also one of the first threads i saw on the escapist...

I see nothing wrong with it. Urine is pretty much just salt, water, excess vitamins and minerals, and ammonia. These are all harmless to humans.

Need water? Drink your own piss.

Of course. The ammonia in pee is good at keeping mildew from growing on the shower walls.

The Linux fan in me died of happy. "Sudo Make Me A Sandwich" is the classic method of demonstrating the power of Sudo. Think of it as Linux's version of "Administrator".

>make me a sandwich

Make your own sandwich!

>sudo make me a sandwich

Right away, sir!

Geez, captcha is getting creepy.

OT: Yes. Urine is sterile, which is certainly better than can be said for the rest of the tub...

I use to when I was littler, then a thought occurred to me. In an emergency, the first thing you should do is fill your tub with water, you never know when the water will be cut so having a tub full could save your life.
But if you've been peeing in it every single day do you REALLY feel comfortable drinking from it?

Captcha: Shaken not stirred
That is wrong on so many levels.
I have a separate bathtub and shower so I can both pee and avoid disaster!!

But you could solve that by cleaning your bathtub regularly which you should probably do anyway? That and fresh urine is pretty much sterile and is almost immediately washed away down the drain,s o I imagine it would be fine anyway.

And honestly, drink water with a tiny bit of pee in it, or die of thirst? I'd take the tiny bit of pee methinx. After I've been to loot the nearest store for beer and ammo.

I think it's probably a bit more commong for the shower to be over the bath as a space saving kinda deal, ast least here in the UK I think it is, I've very rarely seen the two seperated and eprsonally find it more convenient to have both in one unit. Then my bathroom can be smaller and more enjoyable rooms can be larger.

No, I don't. And I'll shit in your letterbox if I find you have pissed in it.

Aim for the drain and then anti bacterial that sucker, with scalding water.

I wouldn't like to find out I was walking where others had pissed but on the other hand, who likes getting out of a shower once, let alone twice?

Captcha: "sudo make sandwich" ... who the fuck is sudo?
Actually, generally urine is sterile!

For the record, I pee in the shower assuming I'm showering alone.

I pee in the shower. I just try to pee right on the drain so it doesn't splash everywhere but yea, no real quarrels with it.

Yeah, aim for the drain. Also, off-topic but slightly related: anyone ever pissed on their face, by accident? Not that I have or anything, you know. Just wondering. Honest.

If I owned or rented my very own place, hell yes I would.
Considering other people use mine, there's nothing kosher about that.

I pee in the shower.

It saves time and water.

As others have said, there's nothing in urine that's in any way harmless and most of it is present in the sweat, dead skin, dead hairs and who knows what else you wash off in the shower any way.

I'd advise anyone who thinks it's gross to never ever delve into human physiology. Because let me tell you... the things your body does... you don't want to know...

Body sweat and grime that get's washed off is no more disgusting.

Besides, massive amounts of soap and water go over every spot I pissed on, so there isn't even a trace left.

Furthermore, It's my shower so it's not like anyone that I care about is going to find it disgusting.
