So someone (me) will be polishing the ol' helmet and come across images of animal cruelty?
Not really sure if it's a good thing to have people assosciate dead animals with msturbation, to be honest.

Peta: they wont stop until animals have more rights than women.

You all know it's true.

...... I was gonna say "Rule 34: NO EXCEPTIONS", but somehow I don't think that applies. But this makes me curious. HOW does a porn site spread awareness of vegan-ism? I keep picturing a college girl slowly stripping her clothes off while talking about how you should totally not eat meat.

"Alright, guys. We have all these extra funds from our supporters. What do we do with it?"

"How about we use it to make animal shelters and actually save animals?"

"I dunno... It doesn't sound like it's gonna make a very large effect on people"

"How about we make a porn site? That way we can raise people's.... awareness"

"that's genius! and our supporters will love it"

Short story: Nobody goes to a porn site to learn about social/environmental/political issues. They go to fap.
New PETA slogan: Cum See Our Meat!

......

... OK, that might have been a little too rude...

On the one hand they might get quite a few views from the curious(and people thinking PETA would make beastiality porn...) and on the other hand people might avoid it for the reason I mentioned in brackets.

I doubt either category of people care about the sites message or will be put off if the message is the primary focus, like if people are humping in fake blood to incorporate their views of the food industry... then again, their seems to be a market for live action zombie porn...

All I wonder is what type of porn would the porn site use... Hmm... No, bad thoughts, go away!

OT: If they want to do it, go for it. It probably won't raise awareness though. People don't go to porn sites to learn about new things (well, they do, but nothing beyond sex) or have their beliefs challenged. Anything does that, and I doubt you would have people visiting the site anymore.
I heard Playboy had articles unrelated to sex....... is Playboy even around anymore? I figured Playboy: the Mansion video game was a last ditch effort to avoid being forgotten in this day and age.

Well it seems that Peta has finally discovered how to grab peoples attention.
They've known this for a while. Had naked women in their ads for some time. So they need a way to top it. I doubt even they think this campaign will help, but it will garner attention.

Why does PETA need to raise awareness? Aren't they pulling some batshit insane stunt every few months already?

Well, best case scenario it won't work because it's so not what anyone want, worst case scenario it will actually work, and a lot of people will subconsciously learn to connect sexual pleasure with cruelty to animals...

PETA: "People for Eroticized Torture of Animals"?

All I picture coming from this is a lot more people associating roadkill or the meat section of the supermarket with sex which could lead to some really funny erections.

PETA worries me but at least they're loud and fairly harmless. It's be way scarier if they got their shit together and got a charismatic effective leader.

The best PETA protest idea I heard of was wait for them to do another protest and then go stand by them and sing "Carrot Juice is Murder [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmK0bZl4ILM]" For the song itself it starts 51 seconds in if you don't like the intro bit.

There are words on porn sites? I guess you learn something new every day.
I imagine it's going to be like that one Monty Python skit, The Ramsay MacDonald Striptease. I'm amazed I couldn't find it on youtube, it's the one in which (I think) Carol Cleveland is wearing sexy lingerie and begins a striptease. Her lips move in a very sultry manner but it quickly becomes obvious that she's lip-syncing to a recording of Ramsay MacDonald who...I honestly can't remember what the hell he's talking about. I thought history at first but it was completely unrelated to the removal of clothing going on.

After this type of video I would assume PETA does a screamer-style thing in which they have a cat shriek at 20-billion decibels with the 'I Hate Lul-Cats' picture up (you don't want to know what that's a picture of) and similar images.

Honestly though, if the website is mostly BDSM with chicks in cages wearing dog/cat ears and tails then I'd go for it. I would, that is, if they didn't decide to mix in a cup or 3 of rotten.com's pet section.

No, but it will spread knowledge of BDSM, considering some of their anti-stuff ads. ("Whips belong in the bedroom and not horses" and pregnant women locked up in dog cages)

Not that I have taken PETA seriously since I was a foolish 8 year-old and boycotted KFC for a while.

oh great see hot girl get a boner then see a dead animal, I'm sure this will end well.
This is why punctuation is important, because I read that as a hot girl getting a boner. Which would probably ruin it for most guys.

As for PETA, do they actually think porn so hard to come by on the internet that guys will sit through pictures of dead animals?

I think the least of PeTA's problems is a lack of awareness for animal abuse, we already know that we should treat animals nicely (I'm fairly certain it's only exceptionally cruel people out there who routinely abuse and mistreat their pets) not to mention that part of the reason so many people find it hard to take them seriously is because of their 'awareness raising' efforts (anyone else remember 'Holocaust on your plate', 'Sea Kittens' and 'Your Mommy/Daddy kills animals'?).

Then again, they were practically using porn to advertise their point before anyway so I fail to see what's new about them making a dedicated porn site to push their T&A adorned insanity on.

aren't there enough porn sites already?
I,m not against porn but there are already better and free porn sites (assuming they ask a fee) also if I look for pron I don,t want to have a message jackhammerd down my throat.
