I cannot think of an interesting lead in, the poll question says it all.

I am a cat person myself.

Note: This is not what pets you have, just what pet you like the most. You may be in a situation where you cannot have a pet or already have a pet that does not like other animals.

i'll say cats, but i can't decide between cats and Rats.

on one hand rats are much more friendly, fun and awesome, but only live for about 2 or 3 years

on the other cats are low maintenance, and i do like their coy behaviour, and the fact that they can live for longer than 10 years

Always cats. Don't need to walk them, and they don't constantly shower me with affection and spittle.

I'm a cat person myself, but I have too many at the moment. I don't think I could anymore than three after having what I have now.
I have one cat that seems hate everyone else and loves me, so she's normally hanging out with me in my room, resting around the area or in my lap, and sleeps with me at night, etc.
Very laid-back animals, for the most part, so I like that.

How many cats does one need to have to qualify as a crazy cat person?

Currently I have 4 cats " one is a very old bobcat that was a rescue, two I got after the cats my spouse had before we married died, and my sons wanted to replace them, and one I found when she was one week old abandoned and sick as hell in my back yard...I tried pawning her off on a friend but he moved and his apartment complex wont even allow fish..)
3 dogs, two are siberian huskies, one is a Jackson heeler mutt.

when I was in my late teens and early 20's I had quite a few Rats... I found them to be amazing pets.. very very smart, and affectionate, you basically had a dogs personality but they have very cat like obsessions with being clean, and most of mine LOVED swimming so you would take one in the shower with you, close the drain and let them run around under foot..

My mother had over 30 birds when I was little ranging from zebra finches, canaries, parakeets, cockatiels to peach faced conure. needless to say, I do NOT have birds >.<

though I WANT a barn owl

Where are the insects man.
I only have so many poll options available and for polls like this I always have an "I disapprove" option and an "Other" Option. Insects are a less mainstream pet and fit nicely under "Other"

Doggies and fish.

Fish are nice to look at and dogs are fun to run and play with.

Anyone noticed how the old thing about dogs being like their owners is true? I think I'm so alike to my dog Ben it's scary.

Cats are if you are normally busy, as they don't require to much attention. I would say my dream pet though, would be a parrot, can't remember the specific bread, an African something (Gray?). But they are extremely smart, and would be loads of fun to have.

Dogs get my vote. Cats are too solitary and mine disappears into some closet or other hidden space for most of the day.
