it's Lego. it's like Sheep. the same word implies pluralisation (is that even a word?)
or like Fish. you can say Fishes for artistic reasons, but the correct plural of it is Fish

And it's all caps, LEGO. Our research maven here grumbles every single time it's not caps.

Why should it matter? We're talking about toy bricks that children play with. Does everything have to turn into an intellectual discussion here?

It's been misnomered for many years

It's actually "Lego's", with an apostrophe.

It seems from the responses here that, by and large, Europeans call them 'lego', and Americans 'legos'. As for which is right, a quick Google tells me LEGO Group's position is that:

Dear Parents and Children
The word LEGO(R) is a brand name and is very special to all of us in the LEGO Group Companies. We would sincerely like your help in keeping it special. Please always refer to our bricks as 'LEGO Bricks or Toys' and not 'LEGOS.' By doing so, you will be helping to protect and preserve a brand of which we are very proud and that stands for quality the world over. Thank you!

The plural of Lego is Legi, Like Cacti. :)
Agreed.

Ok so Kailsar has decided it: You cannot say "I'm playing with Legos" or "with Lego", so neither are correct.

But "I'm playing with Lego bricks/peices/toys" sounds weird and does not roll off of the tounge at all, so, wrong as it may be, I will say Legos.

Looks like we're all wrong =/

It's Lego. I always find it funny and cute that people say Legos. But that is wrong. In fact, my Firefox spellcheck likes Lego but not Legos. It also doesn't like spellcheck.

The people saying Lego have backed it up with evidence. It's Lego. That is the correct term. Look up the Lego website, simple as.

Its lego. On the buckets full of lego bricks it says lego not legos even though there are more than one. This seems very simple to me. As we have hereby established that the plural is lego, what is the singular?

It's totally Lego, not Legos.

It's like the word Moose, or Deer.
One Moose or Deer is a Moose or Deer.
Many Deer is still Deer, same with Moose.

And same with Lego.
what if its a moose or deer made out of lego(S)

I say Building blocks, cause...I kinda have some Megablocks and Stickle bricks and some other-various-company building blocks in my old structures.
Either that or just Lego

It is Lego, not Legos. It is like deer. Same word for both singular and plural.

Lego. It seems to be a habit peculiar to America to throw an s on. A bit like when they ignore the i in Aluminium. wankers.

The plural of Lego is "bricks", but Fairplay guidelines and the LEGO® Group's trademarks aside, I use the term "Legos", probably because I'm American. When writing about LEGO®, I try to follow the company's trademark guidelines as closely as I can because I respect intellectual property rights.
