Nowadays there are many reality shows, such as the X factor and Britain's got talent (notice they're all on ITV) which offer YOU, the audience to pay your hard earned money to vote for which nitwit should get the chance to perform in from of the Duchess of glasgow or whoever. My point is, I don't know anyone who phones in (other than my sister) and yet they claim to get millions of votes. Does anyone out there actually vote or is some elaborate scam being pulled on us?

Anyone who says "Yes" will be added to the National Depopulation List.

For The Greater Good.
I fully support this post. Let me know if there's any way I can help.

Me too, I wanna join! I could build gallows and such?

I don't ever vote by phone, it's just way too expensive, stupid and pointless. I think my mum did vote a guy once in Finnish Idol but other than that I don't know anyone who would've ever voted by phone for anything.

I don't get that point. Why would you spend money to have someone else reap the benefits. Max, I agree with you about the depopulation list.

I have never voted but I know people who have, my father once voted for a big brother contestant much to my chagrin.

...no.
As I have never watched any of those shows.
Furthermore, I refuse to until they add an option which goes something like:
"drop all contestants in a pit of acid for an hour"
Then I will vote my head off.

I rarely watch these shows, nor do I personally vote but I do know a couple of people that do...

I voted for Diversity on Britains Got Talent because I honestly wanted them to win, and that's the first time I've voted on a TV show since I phoned in three times for Will Young to win Pop Idol...which was a while back.

Other then that, the only TV show I ring in to is Comic Relief.

@ MaxTheReaper: please don't depopulate me *puppy dog eyes* I've got an IQ higher than 100! I wanna live!

No, I never have and never will. It's pointless. I think my mum voted on Australian Idol once... but just once.

Never, not once have i seriously considered it. Best news I've had all week is that Big Brother UK is being cancelled next year. Am so happy.

Considering how not long ago phone in votes were revealed to be a huge scam, I'm astounded by people who still phone vote.
