i personally think that they will both fail because the ps3 move is just like the wii and the kinect is like the eye toy which the playstation should have stuck with.

If I wanted crappy motion controls I would by a Wii, so I'm going with the "they both fail" option.

Old thread is old, and it's a vs thread, goddamn it's a two-fer!

Move shows more promise than Kinect, but I'll have to wait and see on how it actually fairs with games once it's in the public.

They're both trying to enter a market that is not only already cornered by Nintendo, but that is also of very little interest to their fans.

I don't think either of them will become a success.

Move looks ridiculously silly (Wiimote with a huge ball at the end. Who came up with this crap?).
Kinect was displayed at E3 by showing how it can be used to get tigers to mollest your children.

I think they both fail pretty bad.

neither. its the other systems trying to play catch up to the wii which has already moved on to the next game gimic. i'll give nintendo props for coming up with ideas to get folks to buy there shit but there going to inadvertadly kill video games. they keep making rediculious bank off of trends geared toward casual gaming and then the more serious systems will copy it at the ass end of its popularity and waste alot of money on a peice of junk no one will buy and shitty games that no one will play.

For me, I'd say Kenict has a shot, but just as much that you can use a controller with it. I'll I'm really thinking is that I hate playing a first person shooter and having to take my fingers off the sticks, the two things that come up that make me have to most often is to melee and jump. Maybe a shift of the controller itself rather then a button would be better. If this whole set up works as well as they clam it will, that would be nice.

Personally I'm more excited about move at first I thought the design was a bit strange but after watching some videos specifically the ones with the game sorcery my mind has been changed as far as it being a copy of the wii goes I can see that but if you think about there's only a few ways you can do motion controls you either go for the body motion model of kinetic or controller motion model of move and short of a full body motion capture suit thing the input devices for motion controls ones that use controllers anyway will always look slightly the same. As an afterthought I will probably be getting move but if I decide to jump even further into the consumerist nightmare that is being a gamer my decision to get Microsoft's kinetic will hinge entirely on how it is implemented within fable

PS yes move does look like a dildo but it is all part of Sony's cleverly disguised plan to root out the stupid people in our society who try to use it like one

Kinect is the only one that is actually innovative, but neither actually interest the intended consoles player base.
