I start to feel neglected sometimes when I post in a topic about an issue I really enjoy debating and no one quotes me. Awhile ago I was getting messages everyday and now I don't have anything to debate about and I'm annoyed.
I wouldn't say your paranoid, just feeling a tad neglected.
Though awhile ago I was having problems with receiving notices about being quoted.

Make more discussions people! D=
I quoted you to make you happy!
and I quote you back to continue the cycle of love <3
Well that was kind of you!

On a related note, I should really get off this forum! I still have to write an entire paper for tonight X_X
Guess I'd best put on the coffee!

don't care about getting messages but I do like being quoted (for good reasons) it makes me feel warm and fuzzy

If you mean like, messages letting you know of replies on the boards, I get those alot but mostly because what I say about things tends to be harsh towards something, or completly agreeing with me. If you mean private ones between just you and the other, I have gotten maybe 2 of those, so if that is the case, be happy you have what you do.

Sorry Geek, but the truth of the matter is they talk or quote you so much because you identified yourself as a girl on your profile. No matter how much guys say we shouldn't care, they will anyway because that's just how guys are.

I have female friends on world of warcraft who if they let slip they're girls will be talked to all the time or have people give them free stuff, so they just pretend to be guys to be treated fairly.

Although, from your text it sounds like you WANT such attention, so just mention that you're single and looking for a boyfriend or something and you'll be getting mail by the box full. If you want to keep it flowing, flirt with them a bit.

Believe me, it works.

i prefer being quoted, as it means that somthing i have said is worth either repeting or worth further discussion

Muahahahaha! You should probably adjust your trousers, Geek...
But seriously, it does feel good when someone quotes you and they're like "dude, fucking yes".

Don't feel bad. Just make awesome posts (or drunken posts) and you'll be swimming in "you have a message" announcements.
What do you mean, adjust my trousers??? I'm wearing a skirt....

And I am no good at awesome posts. All of my posts are mediocre at best, and totally rubbish and pointless at worst (like this one).

Well, you could always take to making incredibly informatory remarks, then everyone would quote you in a torrent of rage!

I tend to make long and (I hope) thought provoking posts. Getting a quoted reply somewhat validates my efforts. I won't lie - when I write a 500+ word post and no one says a damn thing I'm usually annoyed.
I share your sentiment. I don't really care about mail, since I barely use it, sometimes I get a random one and I answer politely, maybe it'll even spark a conversation, but I don't hold any hope or anything.

I don't think I have had a single random PM...just the odd quoted thing *goes of to check his info'*...mainly about shoes it seems.

No one loves sheep :(

If it's REALLY a problem I know two people who are graduates of psychology and could ask them for you.
It's not that much of a problem. I don't need psychobabble to help me with it...

Although if they could get rid of The Blonde....

I don't mean to dye it. I've already dyed my hair ginger.

I mean the voices in my head...

(Although having just seen the smiley on the end, I guess you knew this and were just taking the piss. Thank you for making me look dumber than I did already!!!)

You're quite welcome!
On a related note the only colours I've ever died my hair were Blue and Green on two separate occasions.
