When you don't want to trawl through pages of posts to find the data, What do you do? You form a poll. However, not everyone likes polls. Some people like adding a personal touch to their vote. Thoughts?

I do. Even when I can't think of anything to post on a thread with a poll, I always answer the poll, assuming it pertains to me.
I usually realise that I have nothing to say just after I vote...

More or less, depending on the Poll.
It can save me trouble when I feel like answering a Thread, but don't know what to type out, so there's that.

I am entirely apathetic.
However, just to further cement my status as a walking contradiction, I chose the "I hate polls and all who make them" option.

Sounds a lot like many of the answers to the "are you a lurker or a commenter" thread. I like polls and am shocked that out of 6 options, bananas came third.

I must say I like pie.

On topic, no I do not like answering polls because they are ultimatly meaningless considering no one actually takes any notice of them, seriously they dont... have you ever been in a thread where some shit happens and a forum user likens the shitstorm to another valid thread that has parallels to it from a few months ago, now was it a poll thread?... NO IT WASN'T.

I also do not like answering opinion polls you get in newspapers and coffee houses since in terms of something actually important because the only people who vote in an opinion poll are liberals and conservatives, a facist wouldn't vote in an opnion poll in Starbucks because they are too busy beating down on a French guy to buy themselves a Frappucino and fill out a questionaire.

Just to make this clear: Choosing bananas means, well... um... Okay, so it doesn't mean anything. It's for people who care, but don't feel like deciding and/or for people who feel like being random. However, I like bananas so I didn't group it with the "other" option.

How are you planing to find out whether people that dislike polls are a minority or if they just haven't bothered with voting? :p

First option for me...

I have no problem with them, but I'm going to state my opinion in a post anyway.
