Best of both worlds: the rifles from Day of Defeat: Source.

You can use the iron sights, and the rifle will be supremely accurate. Without the iron sights, there's still a HUD crosshair, but the rifle will be less accurate.

It means that I can run around, providing cover fire, and snap shots at people running by, but if there's a sniper or MG taking down my team, I still have a chance of hitting them with an aimed shot.

Spray N' Pray from the hip. I find it harder to hit things using Iron Sights because I can't turn as fast and the fact that I have terrible aim, both realistically and virtually.

Neither iron sights, or from the hip.

Sometimes, crosshairs (you just can't spray it right with a gun to your face)

Others, Scope (Iron sights or sometimes reflex sights just don't cut it sometimes)
Edit: sniping just isn't as fun when you can't see the pained sxpression on their face when you shoot them in the 'nads.
