Poll: Poll: Infamous or Prototype?

Prototype because I have a 360 and it looks like a lot of fun.

Prototype. Even if it is pretty much ripping off The Darkness.
But I only vote for it because its on PC. If a game ain't on PC it can go frack itself.

Yeah, how is it ripping off The Darkness? His transforming powers are way different than what was in The Darkness.
In The Darkness, its a demonic host that extends from his body or the shadows to aid him.
In Prototype, his powers are being able to shape-shift, which is more like a ability than a overwhelming superior host.

i've voted for inFamous.

Prototype looks very much "IN YO FACE" impressive, especially "the patsy", a lot of whats being touted for prototype seems to be front end type stuff, but the tech being used by inFamous seems more robust and more impressive on a long term basis.

I also dont like the change from Alex Mercer's various animations, and how he seems to "glide" in a way that shows its not well produced, infamous doesn't suffer from that!.

No with that answer I'm pointing out that the answer has the "subject verb agreement" problem.

I say both, but If I had to choose I'd say prototype. Infamous looks clunky when you use your lightning bolts. (You bring your arm up, and its like its stuck there, in that bent position forever. and you run weird)

I agree. The combat doesn't look all that fun. Just walking and climbing around going *zap* *zap* *zap*.

The combat in Prototype, on the other hand, looks like loads of fun!

Though I'd have preferred a new Sly Cooper to Infamous.

Same here. A new Sly game would be AWESOME!

Prototype is just another Hulk Ultimate Destruction; with a cooler power, set better engine, and the ability to use vehicals, and guns. Strip it down and its just another hulk game. Infamous is my choice because I want something that has not been done this way + its made by Sucker Puch wich made the awesome Sly Cooper series so I am getting Infamous.

I'm...starting to think that the games aren't as similar as they look. Everyone says "prototype!" because of the free-roaming/powers thing, but it seems like this is turning into the "apples and oranges" thing.

I think I'm going to go with inFamous even though I initially voted prototype, because it just seems like you can get more out of inFamous than you could with a game that has free-roaming "destroy everything" mechanics...which has the age-old problem of getting old very quickly.

It doesn't matter because Prototype was ended. They halted development. I only vote for it because I would rather it be released than infamous. I do have a PS3 however, so don't you dare say that thats why I don't like Infamous!

Well Prototype has rediculous big black spine thingies, shapeshifting and the like. Still, InFamous has electricity, and you're not immune to your own power so it has limitations as well, blackouts also making you a bit more vunerable. Thus it feels like both games could offer half-decent stealth elements unlike most other games that attempt this while still offering interesting and in-depth superpower manipulation that does allow for what are effectively rampages. Just depends what floats your boat, really.

I'd say prototype. Infamous seems to say you only have one power, electricity. Prototype, you have like 10+. Infamous, from what I could see anyway, has very little if any blood. Prototype has a whole lot of blood. Infamous seems to be drawing from the assassin's creed engine in that you can only scale certain buildings/textures. Prototype, you can "RUN" straight up a building face and hijack a helicopter. Infamous, electricity. Prototype, armor skin, claws, grapple claw, shield, subterrainian spikes, shape shifting, flight, hijack military vehicles, disembowel people, I could go on but this post is getting long so I'll stop now.

It was actually picked up by Activision and is gonna be released later this year.


EDIT: On topic I'd go with Prototype, as I think it looks the better of the two.

Prototype is on the 360 and pc and ps3. Infamous is only ps3 see where I'm going with this. Plus prototype looks like a better experience overall.
