I'm really not a fan. It ruins my childhood. ;_;

Having said that, I'm not against it either. As long as it's mostly harmless then people can express themselves however they want. It's not like it's everywhere, you kind of have to search for most of it to find it (Unless you're on deviantart, god rest your soul).

No. I think it's revolting esp. when you get into stuff like Pokemon. That's just... I don't even have words for that.

Yay! I'm not alone anymore! Maybe we should form a club or something. :p

On a serious note, I'm a bit surprised at how few people don't enjoy Rule 34. I knew R34 had it's fans here, but I didn't expect it to be that overwhelming. I am glad, though, that this thread didn't turn into the clusterfuck I thought it might. Makes me glad I'm doing these polls in the first place. Thanks, everybody, and continue to porn on (if you're into it, of course)!

What get's me is how few people seem to have a problem with Rule 34, but when Micheal Bay makes something like Bayformers you'd think the world had ended. I'd think some of that Rule 34 shit would be way worse for your childhood than anything Micheal Bay could ever hope to do.

No offense intended, but do remember that this thread isn't about whether others should / shouldn't like R34, just whether or not you do. Complaining about others liking it is a fast way to derail this thread into something I'd really like to avoid if at all possible.

Eh, I voted for indifference. Most of the time, the 34 and I are like chummy neighbors. I don't actively go out searching for it most of the time, but I don't necessarily avoid it either. Well, avoid it any less than I do fan art in general, but that's a whole other can of worms.

However, once in a blue moon, when the clock strikes thirteen I'll find myself wondering... "What would it look like for my waifu to perform fellatio with a squid?" to which I only have one reply: "Thanks google!"

Yes I remember. I wasn't complaining, I was just pointing out something that baffled me.

I'm laughing my ass off, as I know the feeling all too well. As much as I don't like R34, every once in a great while I just have to go "How much do you wanna bet that there's Rule 34 of a PS3 and a turnip" and off to Google I go! Of course, there's also the times where you see a picture spoilered or something similar and morbid curiosity pretty much takes you over. XD

Pretty much all porn I consume is R34.

The thing is, finding porn with good characters, plot and character-development is difficult. And just random sex is dull.
With R34 you already got already established characters, so even if it's not terribly well written or in-character, it's easier to ignore those bad qualities.

As for personally 'liking' it, I guess I only like a small fraction of it, just like I only like a small fraction of any media.

I think if you're a proponent of R34, you need a new passion. Jesus, making porn of absolutely everything.

I'm not perfect but I don't spend my time thinking "oh, yeah, bulbasaur fuck the shit out of porygon!" or "look at Lickitung giving it to cloyster!" like those two aren't the biggest euphemisms in poké-history!

On one side, do what makes you happy but on the other, try other things that make you happy ...

I'm indifferent I suppose.

Sometimes while looking for fap-fodder I'll go look for something from a specific IP and enjoy it, other times I'll just be browsing the internet and be completely amazed at the kind of fucked up shit some people make.

In general it depends on the characters involved and what fetishes (if any) are being explored in it.

Yes Shrek porn makes me laugh to no end.

I think of it more as a comedy resource more than anything else.

I honestly don't know how to respond to this. I never even thought about it. I'm especially not sure what "liking" Rule 34 would mean. Does it mean that you..?

I have no real opinion on it, I guess. I have no problem with it being a thing. And if I did, I couldn't stop people from making it a thing. Though, honestly, the rule is not really a set in stone thing. More of a funny observation. It's not like people make things JUST to appease the rule. Though, I'm certain there are some that might.

Also, from what I know of MLP rule 34 (damn you, Cracked!) not sure how I feel about the OP's avatar.

Unfortunately it seems your poll is a bit flawed as I see no option for "Holy hell YES give me more right now also I have some open in other tabs."

Though to be fair that might be too long.

But yeah. I adore it. Ever since I found Pahael all those years ago, it's been one of my favorite types of adult content. To clarify, I actually enjoy it in 3 different ways depending on what it is. The first being the basic standard use. I just like seeing characters I know and love especially if it's something like Mass Effect where you can have entire romance arcs, but never get the really enticing visuals. The second type I love is the ones for comedic effect. Political/Religious statements like JesusXSanta, inanimate objects like a juicebox fucking a caprisun and that sort of thing. The last kind I enjoy is the childhood murdering like Calvin and Hobbes. For some reason I'm a mental masochist is that regard, though it may be that I enjoy desensitizing myself.

Also just to clarify, this includes art as well as fan fiction.

I'm curious to see what other polls you may come up with.

I think it's a powerful storytelling tool.
What do I mean by that you ask?

In certain animes and other shows heavy exposition scenes take place in... uh suggestive locations, like an outdoor bath or an indoor bath, or the beach, or a locker room. and knowing that nudes of any given character are just a click away for anyone who wants them (Like pervs, or me) it frees up the audiences attention to actually pay attention to the scene, instead of just trying to see if the animators drew nipples behind the fog.

Or simply characters that may never be in a suggestive situation, so yeah...

I believe the word you're looking for is 'adorable'.

well lets not forget that...

Seriously though if it's consenting and no one who doesn't want to gets hurt then what's the problem? I think people who are get offended at rule 34 are the ones with issues, ask your self this. If you are getting offended by something that really has no bearing on you then who's really the one with the problem?

I massively enjoy it, but I don't use it for the intended purpose - I think it's hilarious. I'm glad it exists because it sums up the internet so very well :p

I stay well away from anything involving characters I really like or am emotionally invested in though (ie any and all Tolkien-related stuff). That just makes me uncomfortable, almost like seeing porn of my friends or something, I guess.
