Yes, another thread about polls with a pun in the title.

So, the actual point of this thread is to gauge how many people would like for a separate forum for polls with limited discussion. Not for any official purpose, I'm just curious. Instead of trying to shoehorn discussion into a thread about your preferred brand of cola or whether or not your earlobes are attached, we could have a separate forum section strictly for lighthearted polls with no real discussion value. That way we can have our silly polls without cluttering Off-topic discussion with threads that don't actually have much to discuss. Maybe we could even sticky some of the ones that crop up frequently; have running gender, geographic and aforementioned cola polls.

Love it? Hate it? Feel free to expand on your opinion. Perceived pros, cons and such.

Hmm. Don't know. A lot of them have results that change surprisingly over time. Also, they're still fun to reply to, no matter how many times you've done so previously.

For example, a favourite item of cutlery thread. I would never get tired of expounding the virtues of the spork. Actually, I've never seen that thread before...

EDIT: I have now. I made it. Though semi-drunken threads are probably a bad idea...

I think that would be nice. I hate it when I'm doing a study on something, and in order to be relevant, I have to stuff in a bunch of discussion material.

I'm in favor of this. Polls will still float around in threads round off topics but threads just based solely off of poles will have their own home. It would also be nice to see the sillier threads off the first page and make room for more in-depth discussions.
