Why? Because my Web Design class requires you to check your web pages in multiple browsers.
I don't really use one more than the others.
Way to not understand web design.LevelSix said:Silver Patriot said:Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome.

Write to standard. http://validator.w3.org/
OT: I use Chrome now. Wanted to try something new after years of Firefox/Opera.
Actually, I understand web design a great deal. Not all web browsers are made to standard, the biggest culprit being IE. I've seen webpages developed for use on IE that literally explode if you try and load them with something else. If web developers all wrote to standard, browsers would be forced to be written to standard, and the internet would be a happy place filled with cupcakes and rainbows.Silver Patriot said:Way to not understand web design.LevelSix said:Silver Patriot said:Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome.

Just because it is up to standard dosen't mean it looks the same in different browsers. It might not be broken but it could still look "off"
Not following though with your web pages is a sign of poor web design.
I should have clarified. My teacher has taught us to verify all web pages using W3C and won't grade them unless they are verified. However not every web page loads the same way. Our web pages have to be both up to standard and look good in every browser, including IE.LevelSix said:Actually, I understand web design a great deal. Yes, I realize my argument will go no where in swaying you or those who think like you, and are taught to design webpages like you have been. I can still dream of my happy internet, and my original point still stands. Write to standard.
Side note: Webpages written to standard will function correctly most of the time on Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari. These browsers have really been brought up to snuff in recent years.
