I don't mind them as long as they don't have silly options in them.

Actually I tend to accidentally forget to vote.

Polls are good to have to tally numbers up on certain situations if done correctly. I like seeing those kind of polls because on versus topics I'll get lost in all the discussion and not be able to remember how many people favored this over that.

YET - Polls can be bothersome on basic discussions that require a - yes/no answer because people will just answer and leave. There is nothing else for them to really say that no one else will pick up on. [To some.]

An interesting possibility with polls is making it so that you have to post a comment to vote in a poll. Then the people who really want a say can speak with a louder voice, and others would be turned away from mucking up results...or something...
