Ok...for all of those who have beat single player mode in Portal 2 (I haven't beat multiplayer yet)

HOW AWESOME WAS IT!?!?!?

I mean it just felt like the perfect ending. Unexpected, twists and turns, I absolutely loved it.

But what did you think?

SHOOTING THE MOON...Awesome.

Elevator ride with musical defective turrets meant to kill you...Awesome.

The fact that the credits weren't sung by Cave Johnson...NOT AWESOME

I liked it all.... until the elevator ride. Then it went to shit for me. I hated the ending. Mostly in that it didn't allow for the character of chell to be further developed on. The turret song added more questions then were answered and a good ending should wrap everything up.

Okay, that bit where you shoot the friggin moon... THAT'S what a great ending is made of.

I agree that the final boss wasn't QUITE up to the standard set by the first game, but it still wasn't bad.

I thought the elevator ascent was a great section, just when you think you're about to die, they start singing. (did anyone else notice the GIANT spotted turret in the backround of the last area?) Plus, Companion Cube. Yay.

I'll also say that "Want You Gone" is even BETTER than "Still Alive". And that's damn impressive.

Overall, I'd say it's a better ending than the last one. Again, that's fairly impressive.

It was pretty good, but it was just too damn short and way way too easy. If a boss only takes 1 try and just a few minutes to finish then that just doesn't really do it for me, they could have made it a bit more difficult at least.

I did like the ending though, don't get me wrong, the moon idea was sweet even though it was pretty BS considering how slow the portal shot moves. Meh, I'll concede that it was a good ending..."Were in space!"

The boss fight was... meh. You had to think, I thought it was a bit better than Portal 1's, but it wasn't that difficult.

The cutscene where you could see Chell's body was awesome. I really hope Valve uses that to tell stories now.

GLaDOS's decision was a nice twist, if predictable. But deleting Caroline was a huge thing I didn't expect.

The turret opera piece was very nice, I have the song downloaded on my iPod.

Chell going into the wide wilderness was a good closing, since there isn't much way to jam a sequel down our throats.

Want You Gone was better than Still Alive.

I liked it. I'm going with "pretty good".

Meh. I didn't like it that much. Hell, once I was into Wheatley's chambers I was pretty much already bored of the game, and just completing the game for the sake of it. The moon sequence was pretty good, but the ending could've been so much better.

I wasn't expecting a very complex fight. Wheatley never was very clever. However, that was EPIC having shot a portal at the moon. And Want You Gone was an excellent song. GLaDOS had a beautiful voice for it.

Fantastic- I loved the ending, the boss fight was fun (loved the cores), shooting the moon, of course...

I was extremely happy with GLaDOS deleting Caroline, I'm not going to lie. Even in the context of learning a lesson, actually having it stick would have been completely out of GLaDOS' character, and it was great to see her stick to her rather evil self.

Turret opera- aside from the asinine theories it's fueling, it was amazing, and... well, be honest, who expects a video game to end in an aria?

Chell being 'let go' is interesting, and can satisfy the ending anyone wants. You're free to believe that the world is fine and she'll find civilization and fit in (or at least, have the Cube), or if you prefer... darker endings, she could well return to Aperture, be attacked by the Combine, who knows.

And of course, Want You Gone. So much better than Still Alive.

(Captcha: BOOK Portsks. ... book portals? Book portkeys?)

I expected something along those lines. It simply wasn't in GlaDOS' nature to be Caroline. In the end, she was an honorable enemy who kept her word... while twisting the knife a couple of times because she didn't like you. The last bit with the Companion Cube was a nice touch that suggested that Caroline hadn't been completely destroyed.

I thought it was basically the most awesome ending ever. From Lunacy, to GLaDOS' whole thing, to the completely unexpected turret opera. And the cube at the end just made me laugh out loud. It was perfect.

What more is there to know? GLaDOS pulled a final prank, and the turrets have simulated personalities designed to be sickeningly sweet.

Very funny. My favorite thing about the ending was how frusturated Wheately was during the boss fight. I kinda felt bad for him.

Err... How is Chell developed as a character, at all? She's an avatar. She's tenacious, that's literally the only thing we know about her personality. And what questions did the turrets bring up?
