I'm surprised that it's full price. I'm still getting it though, it looks amazing.

I'm also pretty surprised. Their games are usually cost much less than other developers games, yet twice as innovative. So I'm hoping they haven't just jacked up the price due to it carrying the Portal name...

I am way beyond hyped... My only complaint with Portal (though I don't think of it as a fault) was the difficulty, or lack thereof. So Portal 2 is shaping up to be a lot harder. Plus the co-op mode looks amazing. It still sounds hilarious, with the same kind of dark humour.
I mean, come on.

The quote at the end of this, "Or I'll make you wish you could die" just sounds so sinister and awesome, I can't wait.

OT: It looks good, can't wait to pick it up. Can't wait for co-op especially.

I'm a little worried. I felt the natural progression was to move the portal gun into other source games, but it doesn't appear that there will be weapons. So I'm left with the impression its a 2player game, and that's where the new ideas will come from. I'm trepidatious of anything that requires 2p.

Co-op and singleplayer have separate storylines.

Valve's full length games are alwaysfull price. They just haven't released a full length game lately but for example Half-Life 2 was a full price game too when it was released. Portal 2 is now going to be a full lenght game therefore full price.

OT: I'm really hyped for this game. It looks great. The only thing that I'm afraid of is that many people will compare it to Portal 1 and it might not live up to its predecessor. Or it will be too long for a game like Portal and it will get repetitive and boring after a while. But I'm still going to buy it the day it will eb released. You can't do anything wrong with a Valve game.

i downloaded a demo lvl 2 weeks ago. i dunno if its official or not, but u can test some of the new aspects. the "Aerial Faith Plates" are great, the "Thermal Discouragement Beamers" are great, the "Pneumatic Diversity Vents" are great, the "Repulsion Gel" is great, and the design is just awesome.

Portal 1 was great, and I don't know if Portal 2 can live up to it. It just seems too impossible. Also, I don't know how Portal can work as a full length game.

Why? It's a much bigger and hopefully better game? You get a co-op mode too. I fail to see how Portal wouldn't be full price.
