For those of us with post counts in the thousands that have counts under 2010, have you thought about years in history when you see your post count?

I thought of The French Revolution Napoleon when mine was at 1812. I thought of WWII and D-day when I hit 1944.

Now that I've hit 2010, I can't do that anymore. I was just wondering, was I the only one who did this?

A weird thread, I know. Post any years and events you thought of when you checked your count.

Edit: The Escapist stole my poll. I swear I made a poll. *shakes fist at the internet* Give it back!

Mine sky-rocketed so fast within a couple months that I never really had time to think about it. Even now, and looking back, I likely never would have thought about it. It's just not something that would cross my mind.

When mine was 123, I thought, "Gee I wonder if someone back then realized the numbers."
Hehe, I kid.
My count isn't very high, but (1)575* is when an ancestor of mine disbanded the family tradition of killing a man, burning him and making a tattoo out of his ashes.

*I put the 1 in parentheses because I haven't reached that count yet.

I thought of the Norman Conquest of England when my post count was 1066, and I thought of WW2 when it was 1939. An interesting thread - since I study history, I can usually associate a lot of numbers with certain events, but it's not usually something I think about too deeply... until now, that is.

Where is zee poll?
Zee poll, it disappeared!

Spock: A black hole Captain, I suggest we move on before we get sucked up too.

Kirk: Fascinating, the text vanished in an instant. Move the Enterprise away and we'll monitor it from a safe distance.

I thought of the supposed apocalypse when I seen yours right now. 2012. Yep. I haven't got a post count high enough to have historical value... yet.

let's see, the year 1155, I'll just google that...

OK, I got nothing, but I did find out that the number 1155 the product of 4 consecutive prime numbers!
*surprised face*

I remember my year. Daleks ruined it again though.

Thank god for my companion.

The French Revolution was 1789 dude... But yeah haha, I do the same thing. Just coming into the 20th century now. In fact, about to hit the Russian Revolution... Maybe that's my cue to start studying.
Opps, my bad. I meant Napoleon. *facepalm*

Nope. I probably won't do that (if at all) until I pass about 1500 posts. Earlier than that and I really don't care much about what happened.

EDIT: Just checked. The First Battle of Lincoln occurred on February 2nd, 1141. Something about Stephan of England being captured, imprisoned and eventually killed.

Yeah, I did way back when. Now I don't for obvious reasons. Though I still smile if I see a number that means something (like my recent 6666 and 6789).
