Max was a person who was with Neonbob as the people with the highest post counts on the escapist, he was here before I joined and was pretty cool but he turned in to an ass, starting a lot of arguments and got banned I think in december or november last year.
I see, well whats in the past is in the past.

Generally I don't care, but as I've said a few times, I'm desperately trying to get to 999 posts by April 9th, so I can have my Gonzo post and my 1 year Escapiversary on the same day. Because of this, I've been posting on topics that I don't feel strongly about, where before I'd just post when I felt I could provide something good to the discussion.

True, can't say I didn't miss him when he got banned, when a huge member of the community leaves you really notice a difference.

Yeah, Furburt is a cool guy.
I think it was the sort of fame he had for being wrathed so much.

And Max wasn't an ass at one point?
I must not have been here for that phase.
From he started a lot of arguments and eventually got banned for it.

Post count doesn't matter, though it is noticable that anyone with +10K is assumed to be some sort of guru.
I come back and wind up editing my posts at least three times; I bet I'll edit this one a few times before I'm done with it, too.

I don't spend hardly any time in user groups or Forum games & RP; I think I made two posts today for the first time since last January. I can deal with not having that high a post count.

Amount of posts are just a number showing how much of an opinion you have and a variety of subject matters the thing that really counts though is the impact of the post you have made. If you reach the levels of Furburt,Neonbob,Pimppeter2,JulianKing93,Hubilub and many of the others then you just a very active opinion.

Post Count doesn't matter much. I only post if I have an idea of what I'm discussing and can give a good opinion. Unless it's a forum game, because posting in those will massively add to your post count and they can be a lot of fun.

At the same time, the people like Furburt and Neonbob may have a ridiculous post count but if you read the content of their posts, they are actually well formed rather than some crappy mishmash of a sentence thrown together to get that next post in.

OT: I stopped caring about my posts after I hit 10k. That was the height of my pride.

EDIT: Holy crap I could pick that as an option! The OP is well prepared it seems.
Thank you for enforcing my point Hub, I digress anyway the people who have been here for awhile tend to now the rules and post something good rather than a lot of nonsensical crap.

My post count doesn't really bother me, that much and I only will post, when I have something to say.
