You are concious of the world around you, in sudden realisation, stunned by the sheer size of the universe you lie in a daze pondering the complexity and mechanics of everything.

You first wonder how you could possibly have conciousness, self awareness. Thinking upon your own thought methods needs new words, no, it needs thoughts outside words, this is loopy logic, self replicating cul-de-sacs.

Wondering on self conciousness, you realize that it is similar to broken code. programs that loop, music that echoes, distorted and distracted, bewildering as it might seem it makes sense. It is the ouroboros, the symbol of infinity; but you are broken. Everyone is if it is thought about like that.

You light up your pipe and stare into the setting sun, breathing deep through your nose as you do almost unconsciously. Cyclic breathing you think, you stare at the illuminated clouds. Fractals, to infinity, cyclic to infinity, repeating cyclic fractal, but broken in their loops.

It all seems to make sense.

You are aware now, aware of what Einstein meant by time, aware of what Descartes meant when he wrote "I think, therefore I am", It is amazing, you are so insignificant and small and will never mean anything and it so liberating.

It is freedom, it is liberty, it is HUGE, everything is so big it is beyond words.... so much time, so much space, so much everything. The true meaning of infinity is beyond what the word can contain, it needs more, it needs justice which you cannot give it.

You feel alive, at peace and at one with all the meaningless around you, knowing your place within everything because you know you are nothing, dust, a shadow, meat and flesh not even a speck in time and you are free.

Be free.

The Dr Jack said:
If this attitude was taken by more people, the world would be a much more pleasant and peaceful place.

Unfortunately, we sometimes become engrossed in what really are trivial matters. Sometimes, we just need to step back and think like the OP :D

Y'know, put things in perspective and other craziness.
Thanks for that.

You are so right, if only people took a moment to step back from everything.

Thinking of the... bigness of the universe has led me to ask the question "what's the point?" several times. Not "what's the point of living?", mind you, more like "what's humanity's purpose?" or "should we go out there?".

I'm often struck with the thought that we will never truly grasp this existance, as we can never truly grasp something until we have experienced it, and there is so much, and we have so little time. Our lives are but a fraction of an iota in comparison to the rest of the universe, and that's being extremely generous.

I can sit and think about these kinds of things, but I'll eventually start going in circles, so I tend not to dwell.

But it's nice to stop and think now and then.

Acid?

Erhm, anyhow, OP is kind of poetic, but a bit too trippy to make any actual sense.
