I have my hair in a ruffle-y, dark brown bob at the moment, though I'm thinking of cutting it shorter. I miss my old pixie hair 
Don't see the appeal of 'long and straight', I think it looks terribly dull on most people.
On guys, I actually really love hair that's long, but not too long; probably just past jaw-length. It absolutely must be styled and well-kempt, though. There is absolutely nothing worse than it actually looking like they've just grown it that length because they can't be bothered getting a haircut.
That being said, it's not just the hair that I (and probably the majority) of people focus on; it's the whole package. And we all know it's the inside that counts ;D

...I don't know. I guess it really doesn't matter to me. My eyes are more likely to catch a cute girl with short hair(maybe a bit longer than pixie), unless it's a bob-cut (yucch). Maybe long hair, like down the back but not to the waist. This doesn't usually work unless you're asian, though.

I don't really have a preference when it comes to hair style. I mean, as long as it fits and is not greasy and or stringy. Oh, no poofs either.
I... kinda have a thing for girls with short hair, but really, as long as it looks good on the person, it doesn't really matter.
I don't really like short hair on women; I had my hair short for a while and I absolutely regretted it. Thankfully now my hair is long again, I guess you could say it's a little wavy and it kinda curls at the end. Oh, and it's also a deep purple.
On men I really like long hair, but I can't stand facial hair. At all.
