Poll: Preferred weapons class

How do you like to rain terror in the online world of shooters? Each class has it's strengths and limitations and are essential in a teamgame(although most of the time teamwork is ignored). Personally, I'm a heavy weapons kind of guy: run in with as much firepower as can possibly be armed with. But...single shot assault rifles are my weapons of choice and I prefer the occasional sniper map. Give me an SMG or a shotgun and I suck. If the options in the poll don't make sense to you or maybe I left something out just tell us how you like to duke it out in an FPS, online or campaign based. This being said are you an offensive, defensive, or supportive player? It depends on what the gametype calls for but I'm all for high-octane offensive tactics.

I am very tired so if what I'm saying doesn't flow or make perfect sense bear with me, it make sense to me.

Heavy weapons, I like to play support. I'm an anti-tank, artillery strike specialist...

At least in games with vehicles, otherwise I'll be at a nice sniping spot with my M4...

yeah i normally choose medic if avaliable... but thats cause i am a medic lol so a little biased....

otherwise normally assault rifles..... sniper rifles depending on the game.. some games have good sniper rifle physics and some have shit physics.... it all depends

Range and/or stealth. In Bad Company, SpecOp was my favorite, I liked sneaking behind enemy lines and stabbing everyone.

I dont like being shot.

Regular rifle man. That's the way to roll. That's my first choice.

My second choice is close combat, shotgun.

Then again, it does depend on the game. For example, doom 3, i would always use the shotgun. but in modern warfare or a battlefield, a rifle comes in handy.

I usually play assualt, but it varies, sometime I just use a M4, or an SMG, either that, or I use some sort of marksman rifle, like the M16 with a scope or a the M14/M21.

In games, I usually go for close quarter weapon/support stuff.

But for some reason, if I can customize the appearance of my character, or choose to make a small character, I always end up using the biggest weapon I can find. I don't know why. There's just this appeal about using a totally disproportionate things.

Medic. I love keeping people who are better than me alive. Makes me feel important.

Medic is credit to team! that, or assault rifles. Bland, but also credit to team.

I have heard the cry of medic more times than I can count. Even in games where everyone is the same class, I can be called a medic because my prime concern is getting your half-dead body to the gorram health kit so you can get back to the front lines.

I'll be a medic or support class when given the opportunity.

I'm not the best at combat (I hold me own but I'm not fantastic)

and I just like support and defense roles better.

It depends on the game and map, so I'm a jack-of-all-trades with a preference for Sniping and Spec Ops.

I remember playing a medic in Battlefield 2 because they had the best assault rifle...

Why is there no option for more than one? If forced, I'm probably an assault kinda guy, but I like to diversify. I prefer to have a sniper, Shotgun and some form of assault rifle (Preferably an XM8, plz US Army?). Some times you wanna shoot a lot of guys with the assault rifle and not pay much attention to detail, sometimes you wanna sit back from a distance and watch people crawl around as you shoot out their ankles with the sniper, and sometimes there is nothing more satisfying with putting the barrel of a shotgun in someone's mouth and pull the trigger.....and then make a necklace with their teeth.

I find it interesting that so many people around here are interested in medic/support classes. On any other forums, it's always I'm DPS, yo, i'm l337 and all that sh1zn1k.
