In my own opinion, Gameplay has a higher value. Most games these days go for incredible realistic graphics, almost movie-like cutscenes, massive landscapes and such.
However, did they forget that a game stands or falls not by it's presentation, but by sheer gameplay? Good AI, variated mechanics, clear paths and simple controls are the things that really keep me going in playing a game.
