Glad to know there is another loyal monarchist on the Escapist, even if I do live in the states rather than the UK or Commonwealth. Would rather have a head of state trained their entire life to head the nation than deal with the current madness that goes on every election year in the states where we select the smartest of two fools. Also I laugh at the people complaining about how much the royal family costs. Incomes from the royal lands go to the government and earn over 3x the cost of maintaining the royal family.

Why do they stick with the royal naming traditions? This is 2012, you'd think the monarchy could survive a kid being named, I dunno, Luke or Sarah or Joe or something equally not-royal in origin.

I was really hoping the poll would be true or false, or suggestions as to what species it might be.
As an Australian, good on them, I'd name it Lelouche Vi Britain, but as far as them being the royal family I really couldn't give less of a fuck. A couple is expecting a baby and my reaction is as it would be to any other couple: somewhere between not caring and hoping it doesn't have some terrible genetic disease, because I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
