So I was talking with my co-worker about great movies and mentioned the Princess Bride and to my surprise he had never seen it. So I lent it to him and he said he didn't like it and couldn't understand why so many people would. I was speechless so I figured I would find out if there are others that feel the same way.

It's a decent kid movie. Not much hold for adults though.
Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

How can you not have chills?

Inconceivable.

They did a play version of the movie at my school and everyone wanted me to be andre the giant's character because of how massive I am.

I have no idea what the fuck Princess Bride is.
Go to your nearest Blockbuster, nay, video store and buy it. Or read the book.

Just experience it.

I've loved the film ever since I was a kid, and was even more impressed when I finally read the book.

I think it's one of those films you have to watch as a kid to really appreciate it. It's a shame that there are people who don't like it, but at the end of the day, it's their loss...

On a side note, I love this:

Can I illegally download it when my internet comes back to life instead?
Wait, how are you even here if your internet's dead? *Gasp!* Ghost pirate!

I'd say no. Out of respect.

(Just word of warning - the special effects are old school.)

This is the single greatest movie ever made in my opinion (However, my opinion is also that if you don't like this movie even the slightest bit, you are an uncultured prick who should learn what makes a good screenplay and, if you can't, go back to jacking off to Twilight and it's sparkly "vampyres" you green-legged emo-goth cutter; yes, my opinion can be very unflattering at times. Or else I've been listening to Yahtzee too much again. Not sure which, don't really care, but if I start shamelessly plugging my favorite condiment, somebody warn me.). I could watch it every night for the rest of my life and I would never be bored.

Oh, and there's something you ought to know. I'm not left-handed either.

I just realized Yahtzee has the same condition as Maddox. Foul language. Attitude. Tabasco. Branston Pickle. Great Old Ones have mercy..

I've seen this movie so many times I'd say it's not healthy if the movie wasn't so amazing. No exaggeration, I've probably seen it over 100 times. I watched it all the time as a kid, I made all of my friends watch it, and I put i on my ipod so I can listen to it when I drive or I'm at work.

My single favorite movie.

LOL, Yeah, I agree for the most part. If I was told I could only ever watch 1 movie for the rest of my life I would choose Princess Bride. Nobody should dislike this movie!
