I don't need to tell you guys that the U.S. postal system is in trouble, so I propose this solution: Privatized mail. Here's the question: Would you guys pay a monthly fee to have all of your mail delivered by UPS or some other commercial shipping service?

Good luck getting that post the unions. Here in the UK they've been trying for ages, but *any* suggestion is met with constant strikes. Cuntbags.

No because email is free. Also, you have to pay for a stamp, so mail isn't exactly free anyways.

Hell no I wouldn't. I have no interest in losing our current social programs. It would be much better for us to improve the ones we have and add some new ones we could really use.

Corporate interests, by necessity (and in some cases even law), do not make doing the job their top priority, their top priority is keeping the stockholders happy. While there are exceptions, in most cases the way to keep the stockholders happy, is by helping them fuck someone (metaphorically of course). Maybe that's the mail carriers, maybe it's the customers, maybe it's both. I don't know, and I have no interest in finding out.

Hurray that is just what I would need...another damn monthly subscription. I bet they will just stop house delivery and we will all have to pick it up from the post office like they did back in them old'n times.

Absolutely. The USPS is fucking terrible, not even close to worth the taxpayer money that goes into it.

If you give a damn about whatever you're sending, you use UPS or FedEx. Sending something through the postal service is just begging for it to be stolen, lost, or destroyed.

If I was guaranteed no spam, awesome service and decent price of the thing maybe.

But as it stands Probably not as it's mainly bank statements and bills
