so basicly I heard this stuff on the news, but instead of wall texting at 1:11 AM here, I will simply post links,

its a U.S project that was done on the works of brainwashing in short, using LSD and shock treatments.
as well as mind control.
what are your guy's opinions on this?

I heard about this before; apparently it was "popular" during the 60s, when the government would have loved nothing more than to turn all the rioting hippies into obedient citizens.

Still, even if such a thing became successful, I'm pretty sure the government would treat it like a WMD, only using it in the most extreme of circumstances.

Silly government, when will you learn?

I'm calling BS on this. Sure, I don't know for certain, but I guess they might have been experimenting on the effects on humans these 'techniques' and drugs would have, but I doubt any brainwashing was intended or even could be done on these methods.

I think it's just some medical experiments gone awry and then blown wayyy out of proportion my the rumour mill.

Go mind controlling LSD. The project was very real, there are government reports on everything from agents drugging other agents for fun, to testing LSD on citizens without their knowledge to observe its effects.

"Project Mockingbird" is much more interesting and relevant.

And the government didnt need a mind control device to beat the hippies, they just ended up shooting them at Kent State (and aside from the occasional Attica, Rodney King and Battle of Seattle, they havent been able to really stand up in a meaningful way in America since)

Who, the government or the hippies?

Actually, now that I think about it, both groups are trying to control me by using drugs. All the government needs to do now is start a music festival that rhymes with "Bonaroo" and they'll be even.

Yeah, not very surprising. Brain washing isn't even too hard, you could probably search how to do it from google. Ofcource, this doesn't work at a very large scale. If you would have to brainwash people agaist the government, you would have to capture the group, use your whole treatment to them until they are your slaves and send them out. Sounds alot easier than I would imagine it to be.

Government shot the hippies at Kent State,
Team Corruption beat Team Love, because love couldnt take a bitchslap
And thus we got four bonus years of Nixon/Ford, 8 years of Reagan (and by association Thatcher and Mulrooney), 8 years of very right wing democrat (not socially right, but otherwise very pro-corporate) Bill Clinton, and 8 years of George W Bush. And now ? years of very pro-corporation Barrack Obama, while actual left wingers like Ralph Nader and Dennis Kucinich get maybe 4% of the vote on a good day.

Basically, the left is now this:

well if you read more up on it, during the 40's it was trying to be used to create an inner personality within a person so that they can spy for the american's during WW2, and if caught, can switch back to the original personality, which knows nothing.

I honestly was going to name my band MKULTRA. Pronounced MM-kull-truh for purposes of marketability.
...too bad I have no musical talent, eh?

Yeah, anyway, on topic: it was real, it failed.
