I was thinking about buying one of the recent 'superpower' games but don't know which one I should get, any suggestions?

Just go and watch Yahtzee's Prototype vs. inFamous review.
If you want to run around like Sith Lord, without playing a SW game, get inFamous.
If you like movies/games like L4D/RE/28 Days Later/I am Legend etc, etc, then get Prototype.

Or something.

My only one problem with InFamous is the way Cole sorta auto parkours. The amount of times I've wanted to just jump from a building to the road and magically grabbed hold of a lampost or random ledge is amazingly annoying. Prototype feels like it has more freedom, even if you do get a strike team on your ass every 3 seconds near the end of the game!

Okay, so I went on the search option and it took all of ten seconds to search 'Prototype Infamous'. All those results were on the first page. Do we really need loads of threads on this exact topic when there are already so many to choose from?

The free running and combat in prototype is great, I spent ages just running around the city hurling myself off buildings. My only problem was that once you pick something up you can never just put it back down again, you have to either throw it (destroying it) or eat it.

At first they might seem similar, but they are very different.
in prototype you are just a badass, on the other side in infamous you can choose if you want to be a super hero or a bad M*********.
I think the missions get a bit repetetiv in prototype
but infamous has not so many different powers but looks IMO better
GET EM BOTH if you got the money

Try out Prototype. inFAMOUS is awesome, but Prototype's got more ideas going for it.

word on the strike team. Not only that, but the reason why is because you have 3 hunters on your ass CONSTANTLY, so its hard to not get noticed when your running for your life.

Simply because of how incendiary it is to the idea of a superhero, and the range of powers.
