Poll: Prototype or Red Faction: Guerrilla?

I did a search and found a post like this already, but it was created before prototype actually came out so it doesn't really help.

So my question is which game should I get for the Xbox 360? I don't like buying games for $60 then being disappointed which is why I usually stay away from them. But for these I can't decide which one to get. I know I want one or the other. I've been waiting for Prototype since it was announced (3 years or so ago) and I saw Red Faction when it came out and it really caught my eye.
So what do you guys think is a "better" game? Thanks!

Edit: I also don't like renting games. I believe that it kind of ruins the game because either 1) You really like the game and want to get it, but you already beat it or got very far by just rushing it or 2) You don't like the game.

Red faction has got a demo, so try that out first. I don't think prototype has one though. I would go Red faction myself, as a matter of fact I'm getting it next week when I get down to the shops.

I would take Prototype. It seems that while RFG is cool, it's mostly just destroying buildings with the help of GeoMod.

Yeah I played both MP and Single and I liked them, but idk if I would like Prototype better sense it doesn't have a demo =/

I played the Demo and from the demo it feels like it might get repetitive.


Prototype is crazy fun though, i'd suggest that one. Its just insane super hero parkour.

I do indeed. The story is decent, the gameplay feels (At least to me) a little like God of War, which is a really good thing. The parkour mechanic reminds me of Spiderman 2 and it is, without question, one of the best things about it. Its insanely fun to do the parkour and dick around the city, doing the races and such.


I might pick up Red Faction: Guerilla later, but right now the demo didn't really impress me. It felt satisfying, but it feels like the game might get repetitive very quick.

Loved the RF:G demo and I'm waiting patiently for its PC release. I just got Prototype and it's buckets of fun. Definitely worth checking out. If you can't even have a little bit of a good time in that game, then you need to turn in your gamer card.

I'm getting Red Faction myself. Prototype never really appealled to me, though I've recently been looking at the trailers and it seems quite good.

It's just that RF seems more interesting to me in terms of story and gameplay. The idea of guerilla warfare seems infinately more fun to me than wandering around as a super being. Ever since Terminator Salvation let me down in this respect (I mean seriously all the flashbacks (forwards?) from the previous ones, even the TV series, led me to believe that it'd be all guerilla activities, but I watch the movie and find out they're got their own army? Much less exciting.) I've been hankering for some guerilla fun.
