Anyway, we don't like vs. threads much. They just cause flame wars.

Exactly. RF:G is a TPS with destruction physics, Prototype is a free-roaming action game. Two very different styles. Comparing the two because of inane similarities isn't really fair. I could do the same with Metal Gear Solid and Devil May Cry (#1 was great in both series, #2 was terrible, #3 was a prequel, and #4 was different from the others) or Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter. It's not a fair comparison.

I agree.

OT: I think that Prototype will be more my cup of tea as 1) RF:G doesn't come out until august for me, and 2) Prototype looks less repetitive and gimmicky.

Seriously? Comparing Red Faction and Prototype? I mean, I could almost understand the comparisons with inFamous, but Red Faction? I refuse to believe that this topic is at all a serious one.

Different games, and I also got both games last friday, but I am having a LOT more fun with Red Faction. Prototype feels more like a Hulk/Spiderman 2 Hybrid than my beloved Crackdown.

Eh, flame wars will still happen no matter how careful you are in picking topics for threads, people are just picky that way. I would just like it if people asked about games that were at least similar.

Oh and don't go asking about infamous and prototype because we already did that , that means every one.

A) Try both demo's for RFG, then its easier to decide, and

Seriously though they're completely different games in different genres and there's really nothing to compare between them. The only similarities you mentioned had nothing to do with actual gameplay or anything relevant to the game.
