Poll: Ps3 Exclusives Vs Xbox Exclusives

i know what your thinking its another Vs forum but im on the fence for this one me and my mate were talking about halo reach and he was trying to convince me to get a xbox 360. 'But there are games on the ps3 that are good hell maybe even better then reach eg Infamous Killzone and ummmm hrmm' i said and he suddenly replied with 'see theres only like 2 good ps3 exclusives.' I thought then hard do ps3 owners get the raw end of the stick we have alot less users online we dont have as many games to our selve. with that i also put down a list of Xbox and Ps3 exclusives and the motion controls because no one's sick of hearing about them. who got the better deal xbox 360 or the ps3

Having both consoles , i'd have to say 50/50 but with a preference towards xbox games.

Fable, L4D and the first two halos are not exclusive.

You also forgot quite a few PS3 exclusives. LittleBigPlanet, God of War, Heavy Rain..to name a few

I'm going for Ps3 exclusives on the basis that- 360 exclusives usually aren't exclusive, they're on PC, most of the Ps3 ones aren't. So I don't really see most 360 games as exclusive as they could have been, also providing that quite a few of the "super exclusive" games were released on PC before 360, but thats just throwing PC into the mix. Another point...Xbox don't have it's own version of MAG(256 online multiplayer and multiplayer only), when they do then i'll have a bit more respect for their "exclusives".

I'm going for Ps3 exclusives on the basis that- 360 exclusives usually aren't exclusive, they're on PC, most of the Ps3 ones aren't.

This is one of the reasons I've voted for PS3, seeing as I play L4D on PC, the same with Gears and Halo 1 and 2.
Also, I have a PS3 and a number of those exclusives.

I discount the idea that games aren't exclusive if they're on the PC.

This is a console debate, and there are many people who do not have the option of a PC due to money constraints and techinical difficulties.

This means I can effectively say in a console debate that Halo and Fable are Xbox exclusives.
And people complain that Microsoft doesn't support the PC...

Anyway I prefer Xbox but that's just me.

Uhm, hi. Gran Turismo will be an exclusive. PS3 is getting the "best version" of Portal 2. Heavenly Sword, God Of War 3. We have the Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum, our online is FREE. Resistance: Fall of Man is exclusive. Little big planet is an exclusive, MAG is exclusive, MLB the show (the best baseball game ever apparently.) Ratchet and Clank, MotorStorm, HAWX, the Sly Cooper collection, SOCOM 4, Twisted Metal will be an exclusive, Warhawks, white knight chronicles, Final Fantasy Versus, WipeOut and the Yakuza series are all exclusives.

That's a good set of exclusives and perks, plus blu-ray support. The PS3 is the superior console in that regard. PS3's also have no where NEAR the failure rate.

The XBOX has Halo, Banjo-Kazooie, Alan Wake, CrackDown, the first Dead Rising, the first Saints Row, the First Mass Effect, Fable, Gears of War, Viva Pinata? Left 4 Dead is actually on computer so it's not an exclusive. I guess I will concede that their Arcade is better then the Playstation store, but that's about it, and either way, the Wii outclasses everyone with the VC.

Hmmmmm....Uncharted did rip off Gears, but then again which 3rd person shooter these days hasn't? Mass Effect looks like (never played it) Heavy Rain with(more)guns and in space. My particular copy of God of War 3 started to get loopy on me, causing me to shun it. I'd say 50/50.

I'm sick to death of console exclusives, to be honest. There's not enough difference between the PS3 and Xbox 360 to be a substantial reason for games to be console exclusives. The Wii games make the most of the motion sensing, but the PS3 and Xbox 360 are almost identical. Granted, I don't have an Xbox 360, but I have yet to hear much difference between the two. How about combining them together into one console? Have Sony and Microsoft make a merger? That'd solve a lot of problems.

Mainly, my issue is that Crackdown isn't released on the PS3. It sounds really fun, too! I quite liked 'inFAMOUS' and '[PROTOTYPE]', but I'm not going to get an Xbox just to play one game. PS3 exclusives still win though, mainly due to having more variety in this video game era than the samey shooters full of one-dimensional self-congratulatory macho men that prefer consoles to PCs despite the latter being better with shooter games.

And if your friend is bugging you constantly to get an Xbox 360 just for 'Halo Reach', then I say without hyperbole that 'Team Fortress 2' is the best online multiplayer FPS experience you'll see today. But really, it matters little whichever console you get, especially since the two companies never stop ripping each other off. I still whole heartedly recommend 'inFAMOUS' if you ever get a PS3.

I notice no one is arguing that the Wii is the superior console. I can understand, though. Hated that whole concept when I heard about it. And, if anything, it's worse than even I gave it credit for being.

Personally, I give the PS3 credit for being the better console. Most of its exclusives are much better. It really seems that developers can get more out of the system and that Sony is willing to let them have a little free reign to try new things. And I've noticed that Sony is getting a lot of things earlier than Microsoft, Scot Pilgrim Vs. the World for example. And some exclusive downloadable content for the PS3 version of some cross platform titles, such as Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Plus free online play. And on a related note, I heard a rumor that the reason FFXIV is still a PS3 exclusive is because Micro$oft refuses to let people with Xbox Silver memberships play it, which is something Square wanted. (sorry, they earned it that time)

That being said, XBox does have some great games. Fable and Mass Effect spring to mind. Yes, ME2 will be coming to the PS3 next year, but that doesn't really count. They do have a larger online community and a lot of developers seem to prefer XBox, especially indie developers. I hear people like the interface better.

In the long run, I think they both have some valid games and points, but I think the PS3 is the better system with the better exclusives. But this is all a matter of preference.

If there was no such thing as exclusive games their would be one platform. There wouldn't be the need to have multiple platforms, thus an monopoly.

PS3, simply for Insomniac Games (Ratchet and Clank, Resistance). While Resistance isn't the PS3's Halo, I like it, and R&C is one of the one of the best action/adventure/shooters I've played.

But, alas, nothing the PS3 has is Halo: Reach. I've played it at a friends house, and would definitely be my GOTY. (Nothing else good came out this year)

Well accutaly development of U1 began before GoW, it started after Jak 3.

(Also Uncharted inspired GoW2 control scheme.)

Although I have noticed and increase in mic spam and general abuse going on, so whether more 360 users are moving over is up for debate.

It also seems MGS:R is going to be on PC, as was Halo on PC aswell so you can cross both of those off the exclusive lists.

I always thought, contrary to popular belief, PS3 exclusives were always better as were the launch titles. Que somebody saying "no they weren't".
