I can understand your perspective, but I can only speak from my own experience. The Black/white buttons were not like the other face buttons, btw. They were smaller and set in a bit more. Never had an issue with them.Sonic Doctor said:Ugh!!! That is horrid. The palm of my left hand would be constantly hitting those two left buttons. Same with the right. That is a nightmare.Icehearted said:From the Xbox controller last gen cycle. It didn't have bumpers it had a black button and a white button.

Gotta say, looking back I also like the start/back positioning, or at least I would more so now so I don't accidentally hit the guide button when I have to use the back button for some reason (lookin' at you, Mass Effect)
The Triggers and bumpers are perfectly positioned on the 360. Easy access and quick response.
The start and back are in the perfect place; they are easy to access as well. The back button is an extremely quick flick down with the left thumb and then back to the stick. Same with the start button. The 360 is the pinnacle of controller design. The D-pad is the only thing that is a little awkward, but it barely registers on the annoyance scale, because so few games use it.
With each controller, I had only one complaint, both easily fixed by an add-on purchase. The 360 had me picking up the $20 wireless adapter kit and the PS3 had me picking up a pair of $5 "PS3 Dual Triggers" off of Amazon.karp250 said:I find my fingers slip off the bottom of the triggers on the PS3 controller. But that might just be in part lack of practice
