Poll: PS3 or 360?

I'm in the same boat here. At this exact point in time, I prefer my 360, but I only like it because it's what a lot of my "internet friends" have, and it's conveniently hooked up in my room.AC10 said:

I didn't say 'vs' i said 'or', i.e. rationally i would like to know what people think is the best (pros and cons). Because pretty much every other forum is plagued with fanboys it's hard to find out the real facts about the gaming experience of the consoles.anthony87 said:

Just get whatever console has the most games you are interested in and/or what your friends are playing. Wii excluded, the consoles are pretty damn comparable. Sure the 360 has some bad marks on reliability, but you'll probably be fine, and it's a capable piece of game console. The PS3 has finally grown a decent library, has a blu-ray player, and is capable in its own right. Personally I'm glad I don't have to choose between my 360, PS3, and PC (well I guess I have to choose which one to play at any given time). All the options boyeee.

360: Main- Multiplayer and some good single playergames (assassin's creed 2)
Pc: All around- With other Pc's you can have some good multiplayer games (Starcraft) and alot of the console games are good on the computer, just needs getting used to.
Wii: Occaisonal Multiplayer- not suggested, motion controls are NEVER good on this and the games that dont only use it are fun, but not something you want to focus on.
The Ps3 seems pretty good, but really, the 360 has more fun games and variety. Also, from what i've seen online people on Ps3 seem more like a jerk to me, but there jerks everywhere.

The PS3 is a good machine and it has a lot of cool features but unfortunately developers never implement them in their games and the only feature that sony has made them utilize are trophies for some reason. If you already have a psp, definitely go with ps3. It doesn't connect with a lot of ps3 games (another feature devs ignore) but you get a lot of free stuff to download and it's a good hard drive to manage it on.
The 360 is cool and as long as you get a newly made one, you shouldn't have a problem with the rrod. However you will have to pay for online and it's mostly just a game machine.
Wii is good if you often have people over or if you have kids in the house. It's just a game machine though; you can't even play dvds with it.
Frankly I'm not really that impressed with any of the coices we've had this generation. Even with PC, all of these consoles seemed to have started with great promise and then tripped (or burst in to flames) out of the gate.
