lol kyekye, im getting mine tomorrow but hey, no worries. The next gen systems wont come out until a good 5-7 years later =) However, I do feel as if the Wii will be seeing a short life-span.

nah, maybe a new xbox is possible, as we see that dvd is becoming a limitation. but ps3 should have about a 10 yr life, like ps2. it was also named the most future proof console out of the 3.

I bet you my god damned sould that if Sony named the next Playstation anything else, people would ***** about it. People always ***** about Sony, wether it's them trying to change their controller or adding a feature that something else already has but makes it better, absolutely everyone would ***** about "WHy the hell is it called the PlayStation B3yond?!?! IT SOUNDS RETARTED!"

(in Australia) people had to shell out $1000 if they wanted one, so if they release a new console so soon it's probably a big snub to the people who had to save for ages to finally afford one, kinda what Microsoft did with the 360 and the elite.

If they do make one it'll sell but people will be pissed off.

I think its a mark of a good company that they stick with a functional name, and not give it a pretentious title that means absolutely nothing. Besides, why does a console name have to be creative. Would you prefer a bland game on the DiscDeity, or an entertaining game on a boringly named console?

Errmmm, I have to say that's a stupid question >_>; The entertaining one on the boring one, I mean it depends on what the name is but the name of the console shouldn't matter...right?

I am sure that they are constantly thinking about the next system and what it will need to dazzle. Realisticaly though, Sony says that they pride themselves on the life of their consoles. They say theirs is updated less often than other systems, but who knows. It kind of seems sad to think about it because if they do put out a new console, it will probably be about $800.00 and I don't think I will pay that much.
