Just be warned that the first season starts out rather slow and cliche. Feel free to skip to later in the series (episode 6-8) or even to the second season, A's (which is where the mech influences truly show).Ciarang said:

Quality, it would be nice to have both but, some gamers are way to jaded and if they saw a new IP or something even remotely original they'll skip over it for a polished game the have heard of before.
I suppose that we should get a good experience with what is already fun and familiar but at the same time its good to have somthing new at the sametime, but if it somthing new it should be play tested and refined to a large extent to make sure that it works.
Quality trumps originality anyday. The storytelling, not the story, makes a good game.

You see, Mirrors Edge, great originality, we havent seen a game like it, but it didnt have enough quality put into it, so it wasnt as good as it could have been.
I just hate it when games are so close to succes but fail in the end, its like a tease.
Modern Warfare 2 really (admit it) doesnt have much originality, its still a CoD game just with new guns 'n skins. But its quality of its own, and look at it, 7.4 million in the first week were sold.
But the thing is, MW2 feels like its, well, annother CoD game.
TF2, heres the great example, great originality with the classes and style of it. And it has the quality of class balance and level design, and nothing has come to beat the 200 hours or so logged on that thing. No other game has litteraly kept me up all night, i saw the sun rising and said "Lets go to bed". it was 7:30 in the morning when i said that, and 7:30 at night when i woke up again, the sad thing is, im not lying.
