So, I've chosen to play Stalker Clear Sky after having played SoC (2nd), and CoP (1st). I understand that a majority of the game breaking bugs have been fixed, and that's it's a generally better game than it was before. However, I have two questions.

1. Are there any particulars I should know before diving into the second game out of the series?

2. What is the best mod, or best group of mods, to use with Clear Sky? I did Complete with both SoC and CoP, and while I really liked the gameplay and HUD updates, the better graphics didn't really do me any good, considering I have a crappy computer. I'd like something to modifies the game directly, like adding more weapons, armor, better faction wars and ironsights, even companions. Pre-Sky seems to do the most of the above.

Also, random poll is random. :p

1- It's the buggiest of the 3 Stalkers, still a good game though.

2- I use total faction war mod, it removes the main story and focuses on faction wars entirely. You start up with almost nothing and choose which faction (or the neutral loners) you want to help.Help a faction more they get more squads. You (eventually) get a radio to order troops around and you can use/equip/order your own squad too, it also adds emissions and military helicopters (hide motherf... they'll kill you if they see you...)it's very nice :)

I've never tried Pre-Sky, couldn't tell you if it's any good, but TFW is still in active developpement and it does exactly what i want it to, it turns the game into a FPS-RTS hybrid :)

For a "story mod" just go with complete again ;)

They didn't get all the game breakers even with the Clear sky complete mod I couldn't finish the litovisk section due to crash bugs and the only work-around was teleporting to the Chernobyl CCCP
