If I'm bored then I won't care about the game any more. If I'm stuck then I usually keep trying but I will look for a guide if I don't have a clue what to do.

I sometimes cheat if a game really is THAT hard, but it's good enough to keep going. Other than that, I sometimes cheat on subsequent playthroughs so I can screw around. However, I haven't had to cheat at a game on the first playthrough since, uh, Breath of Fire 1 (used a walkthrough for some parts, since the clues were pretty minimal sometimes). Maybe I've been gaming too long, but especially with newer games, not much I play is all that hard (until you ramp up the difficulty. Anyone up for L4D on Expert? yet to try L4D2 on Realistic Expert though...).

If a game is bad, I generally just quit at the point that it gets frustrating or too boring.

If the game needs me to cheat before it's fun... then I'll cheat. = )

GTA games and weapon cheats are a good example...

Quiting is for quiters, cheating is for cheaters. I'm a cheater. Why quit when you can still win? When you're playing a single player game, does it really matter how you win as long as you still win?

Where's the option for play until I conquer it like a boss? (Sure it's been said before but I am honestly too tired to read right now.)

Can't do much cheating these days. Generally "quit", especially with some really hard final bosses in JRPGs. Dear god, if I lose an hour-long battle towards the end, I WILL SCREAM!

I change, I adapt... I evolve. I become superior to the person I was yesterday, a hour ago, a sec ago. I kick off with momentum, and never look back, for I know that if I continue putting one foot in front of the other, no force in the universe shall become an obstacle to me. I will keep on spinning, one turn of the handle, one rotation at a time, until I BREAK THROUGH THE SKY FOR MY DRILL IS THE DRILL THAT WILL SHATTER THE HEAVENS! GURREN LAGANN SPIN ON!!!

And if that fails, I sneak a quick peek at a hint or tip from a walkthrough. :3

On first play through, I won't cheat. I play the game as it is intended to be played, and I get to the end.

Second play through- Probably a harder difficulty. Same deal- No cheats

Third- Cheat city.

The only exception- Let's say I get through a really hard part, don't save, and end up dieing or something. If I can't be back through the hard part in a good 100 tries, I will cheat through it to get back to the point where I was before I died. No farther though!

I have no issues with just quitting as opposed to cheating, but I usually just slog through to completion.

The only game I've ever used cheats on were the Grand Theft Auto games. There's no way I'm running around looking for one gun with 5 bullets just to die in the next 10 seconds.

Also if you're going to give me a flying car cheat and an instant tank then I'm damn sure going to use them.

No game is hard for me except Metal Slug 3.
I wouldn't quit or cheat if I somehow found a different game that stopped me. I would keep trying and laugh at people who give up due to a lack of chutzpa.

I only cheat if it's absolutely necessary. For example, I was playing Half-Life: Episode 1. Somehow, I was left with only one HP, at a portion of the game where you only have the super gravity gun and Alyx's AMAZING A.I. to help you, right in the middle of a big ambush. Needless to say, I got grazed by a single bullet and died every time I tried. So I turned on god mode and promptly turned it off when I got a usable amount of health.

Depends on the game. If I'm playing a sandbox game... for fun (Saint's Row 2, anyone?), then I'll cheat on the first play through.
