Recently I looked at the site and realized that the real background for the escapist website was the magazine itself. I myself read the escapist magazine a bit but I really was first attracted to the site by yatzee (like many before me) and promise of a really good intellectual forum.

I was I mean online magazine (i.e. the articles).

I wasn't actually aware there was a magazine, I thought the "magazine" in the URL was just describing how the site is laid out. However I may look for it since I quite like the articles on here, is it in the UK?

I read it, and I'm here because of it. Though obviously I watch the shows and participate in the forums as well, it's a nice triangle of awesome.

I get the articles emailed to me, but it depends what mood I'm in whether I read them or not.

Usually I do, but you know, sometimes I'm just not in the mood.

i think thats the same story as half the escapist population. i find the community much more endearing than any other forums, plus i watch a lot of the video series now.

I've read a few of the newsletters but then I got bored by the lengths and there were more interesting things to do, now I don't bother.

I go through spats of reading it religiously and then not at all. I don't really like this new layout for the site as I cannot view the border images prior to reading the articles and for reason what I think of as the good border pictures tend to have articles that I really like, so I haven't many of the newer ones.
