Poll: Real-life Zombie Apocalypse

There's plenty of games about it and a fair number of films and TV shows as well. Countless threads on this website are devoted to "How would you do in a Zombie Apocalypse?" or other such topics.

But my question is this. Do you actually want one? A chance to show off your skills. To prove to the world that those late-night Dead Rising 2 sessions were actually pretty useful. Or would you rather stick with the world as we know it and not risk dying a gruesome death?

Zombies ,assuming they are real and george romero style undead, will have to depend on anaerobic respiration to function, fortunately, there is a reason the last time most animals used this exclusively was a billion years ago in the form of stomalotes as it is very inefficient.
The zombies wouldnt last longer than a couple days before their bodies collapsed.
And if they were 28 days later style fast rabid but alive zombies, you would be amased how well riot police and armies could put them down

Do I want one? O fcourse not. if I want to show off my skills of killing something below human intelligence that mean me harm, I'll go out and hunt a bear or something.

Thats like asking if I want to fight someone to show i have the skills necessary to leave them a vegetable. I dont WANT to, but I know myself I have the skills necessary should I HAVE to.

1) Computers, video games, internet, television, radio
2) Advanced medical care and medicines
3) Rule of law
4) Stable food and clean water supplies
5) Heated shelters

That's not including the countless people including innocent little children who die in this apocalyse, some by zombies, many more by disease, other humans and starvation. Count me out on this one.

Anyway, I would set up a a little fortress on one of the nearby islands and yell "Bring it on!" Hell yeah! Count me in!

Yeah, I want it. I am prepared enough, and the Scout Rangers certainly gave me the training. Maybe I just miss the lifestyle too much, but it some things just don't feel right trying to live as a civilian. I could go back...but one of these days I'm going to run out of wars to fight. And now I feel like Bill Overbeck.

I wouldn't mind too much. Be interesting to see how society continues on through an event like that. Sure the lack of all modern necessities would suck, but I wouldn't mind the simplified lifestyle.

Depends if the zombies are fast or not, if they are then i'm fuged. I find it quite funny that people say"i would kick arse in a zombie armoggedon because ect". I normaly just say" hey, if only about 5% of the population survived, guess what, YOUR not gonna be one of them, neither will i"

I just need time to prepare myself and a team of people on whom I can thoroughly rely. Good thing my friends are all geniuses and or in the military. I would kind of like to see how the world would respond to such a thing and rebuilds itself after just as a curiosity.
