Poll: Reality Show or Reality No?

When a tv show gets more than 24 hours of footage of a variety of people, an editor can make whatever show he wants regardless what the participants think or act like. "Reality" is not synonymous to "Unscripted".
Many of them are stupid, and have really no "reality" involved with them.
Shows like Jersey Shore only confirm to me that most people will watch anything, and really don't care about what goes on TV.
The only "reality" show that isn't quite so bad is Amazing Race, but a large majority of the rest of them need to go away and never come back.
But then again, I just watch the stuff I do like on the internet so I never usually watch that stuff anyhow (unless I'm at a friends house or something).

I dislike them greatly.
Most are boring and or painful to watch. Though I have nothing against those who enjoy watching it.

WOW, sorry, but at the time of my voting, 100% of people (20) who voted said "no". I find this to be greatly amusing.
Now for an actual contribution to the topic: Frankly, these shows are absolutely mindless and I would not hurt to see them go. Especially Jersey Shore, words cannot describe my hatred for that show and everything it represents.

I would rather television had never been invented than suffer reality shows.

Definitely no. If I wanted to be entertained by the antics of vacuous idiots and fools, I'd just go hang around with my mates 
Seriously, the shows just have the world's most ridiculous people in them, and we're supposed to look up to them or something? Or at least laugh at them! Jersey Shore in particular just makes me angry! Waste of money...but then again, it's hugely popular so I guess SOME people must like it. Hopefully not in a serious manner!

I like The Amazing Race and Survivor. I think those are more game shows than reality shows, though. Reality shows brings real crap to mind, like Jersey Shore, The Osbournes, The Kardashians, Big Brother, etc. I wouldn't watch that. The Amazing Race is like a travel show, but fast paced. And Survivor is fun to watch because of people manipulating each other. They're fun to watch, but apparently:

Anyway, while I don't like the "hidden camera" style shows (Jersey Shore, etc) I do like some of the competition ones. Last Comic Standing is awesome, with some great comedians. I'm ashamed, but I have enjoyed Project Runway in the past. I don't like the clothes they make at all (more of a jeans person), but the people can be fascinatingly bizarre at times.
