I'm going to share with you something that I've never understood and always hated!

Reality TV shows.


Yes! I hate those dredged things.
Because they are never real and they are just so quite damm silly most of the time.
Hell's kitchen,the apprentice,Survivor.
Yes I think their all fake and I hate them all, plus! My family says that I should spend more time with them staring at the TV screen watching TV shows, which I don't like and most of them is reality TV.

So what are your feelings towards reality TV shows?

I like a few of them.

Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares is one of my favorites. Fuck it. Anything with Ramsey in it is gold in my mind. Including Hell's Kitchen.

But most of them are incredibly shitty. Especially those reality dating shows.

Personally I associate reality viewers with being curtain twitching peeping toms with a life so tedious and devoid of entertainment that they are content to watch other people live a life rather than live their own. I associate those shows with unbelievably boring people, both the people taking part and the people who watch them.

I hate them. They dumb down television and kill off creativity. And they make obnoxious loud-mouthed twatwaffles "stars".

Fuck reality TV.

Most of them are too focussed on being entertaining, at which point they lose most of their impact.

There are good ones though: Come Dine With Me, for instance.

Hmm...does Mythbusters count? I like some of the stuff on Discovery Channel.
I hate, HATE, Cash Cab. It's just stupid. Also, they make it seem as though no-one has ever heard of the show. No-one who gets in goes "Huh? Cash Cab?". Stupid.

In my honest opinion I think that most of reality tv is shite on a crusty roll
Or reality tv is opium for the masses. Except you have to refine opium

I worked at a TV station for just over a year and had to air reality shows every night. One thing I've learned about it is that it's not about reality or even winning the money at the season finale. It's all about showing what assholes people can be to each other and feeling superior as you sit on your couch and watch the depravity. I used to watch Survivor and Amazing Race, but after a point you realize that all the situations are scripted even if the dialogue isn't. However, unlike most TV dramas, there is no redemption sought, and there's no motive other than greed. Reality TV is the shallowest form of entertainment there is; I'd put it lower than porn. At least pornographers know what they make is trash.

I don't find reality TV shows entertaining at all. Yet their popularity astounds me. I have yet to find anyone who stands by reality TV. Yes, there is an occasional American Idol die hard fan and "It's Survivor night, leave me alone!", but I yet to find anyone fight for how great reality TV is and they watch all/most of it. It's like Britney Spear's first album. It sold 2 million plus copies, but I can't find anyone to admit they have one.

To summarise, reality TV edits several hours of not much interesting happening in order to make it look like something interesting is happening. They can come up with pretty much any story they want with creative edits.
