Hmm... Reality. We all hate bits of it (go on, admit it), but now I have throughly confused myself. Is any of this real? Is it all a dream? Are we all just figments of imagination? Or am I just talking shit? I don't know...

Anyway, we could be real or might not be. I am now confused.

No one does. I think that's one of the great things in life. If we knew, so many endlessly interesting conversations would have been moot points.

Although I love to find out stuff and learn things, there are some things I love not knowing. It makes life more exciting, more vibrant, more (ironically, considering this conversation) real.

You know, you've got a bloody good point there, only problem is, now that I've started thinking it it'll bother me for days. Eventually I'll end up with thoughts like:

'If I punched someone who's unreal, would it matter?'

It gets annoying after a while. Like having a song stuck in your head, only with philosophy instead of music.

What you are talking about is a philosophy called Soliphism, an interesting thought. Claims reality isn't real anything outside of your own mind doesn't exist and you can't prove it exists. Nor can you be sure of anything or anyone else's existence besides your own.
