I want to purchase a fun, cheap game (sub-$20), and I'm currently stuck in limbo between Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. If the escapist could help me choose, and maybe give me some more recommendations, that'd be much appreciated.

EDIT: If it helps with recommendations, I'm on a PS3.

Call of Duty 2, Assassin's Creed, Star Wars: TFU. Or you can buy a 1600 Microsoft Points Card and buy some good Arcade games. Worms 2 and Castle Crashers come to mind.
Oh I just clicked your profile to see you're a PS3 gamer. I'll look up some other games.
Star Wars: TFU, Assassin's Creed, Stranglehold, Burnout Paradise.

Neither. If you want a Swordy-Slashy game, get X-Men Origins Wolverine.

I loved it, anyways.

To be honest I wasn't a fan of either of those games. If i were you I would get the orange box unless you already have that.

Star wars sucks and Ninja Gaiden is so goddamn hard that I was about to chuck my TV out the window and this is coming from a guy who beat Battle Toads and Super Ghouls and Ghosts.

Yes, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is harder than both of those games

I haven't even played Ninja Gaiden Sigma and I already know it's a better choice.

Well, those are my main 2 ideas for now, I'm also looking for suggestions.

What difficulty were you on?

Really? It seems to be getting kind of mediocre reviews...

Ninja Gaiden, I have a copy myself and it's a good challenge sometimes. I hear force unleashed is a walk in the park.

My money is always on a game that will challenge me.

Yeah, I don't understand. I loved it, it's not perfect, but alright.

WOOO! 1000th post on a dead thread. What a fantastic way to cross a milestone.

SW Force Unleashed was not great, but you could have a lot of fun with force lightning just zapping everyone and going "Unlimited powerrrrr!!!" for a while. And then force grip a random guy and throw him out of the window.

Now that I think of it, that's all there is to the game...

It was awesome.

Neither.

There are plenty of other good low-cost games. The Force Unleashed gets stale rather quickly, and I can almost guarantee you will become too frustrated with Gaiden to finish it.

You should update your post. Do you have Xbox LIVE? That could largely influence which game you should purchase.

Don't listen to the folks about the difficulty of Sigma. It's all about figuring out how to play your character. It took me a little while, but I can breeze through most levels without taking damage on normal (tip: Flying Swallow and Izuna Drop). Hard was a little worse, but not much.

SW:TFU isn't a good purchase choice. Might be worth a rental. Better yet, rent Prototype. It's the same sort of experience (i.e. Power Overwhelming) but done much much better.

Thinking about it... yeah, Prototype is really the game that TFU should have been.

Since you seem to be focussed on 3D Brawlers, Wolverine and DMC4 are also good options.

Well, I'm not actually focused on anything, its just that Sigma and TFU came to mind first.

I played both, Star Wars: TFU was a fun game while it lasted, but being a Star Wars fan I had a bit of nitpicks with the game, I found the Xbox Star Wars games better...but pick up Ninja Gaiden Sigma, it's a great game and I'm excited for Sigma 2 coming out. Sigma is my choice.
