I recently discovered that the final few episodes of red dwarf are finally being made and are going to be shown on Good Friday in the Uk.
But do u think they should have left it? and considering all of the characters have aged something shocking (See the video) will it really be worth it?

I think they should have left it at series 5, personally.

It was pretty much all downhill from there.

It's going to be great, I'm a big fan of Red Dwarf and I only found out about this a few days ago.

As much as i love the show, it should have been left alone. Series 1-6 were hugely funny with great original scenarios E.G. Mr. Flibble, since the series went downhill from there why would they try and ruin something that was repeating itself while it was still popular.

You good sir, are correct. Personally, I loved Red Dwarf. Series 8 was just horrible though. Most of the magic of Red Dwarf's early series (1-4) was the outdated sets. You could tell it was filmed in the 80s-90s and that's why I personally love it. Ahhh nostalgia.

I'll be watching the last few episodes, it'll be nice to see the Red Dwarf posse again... Chris Barrie's jowls though... Ugh. And Kochanski's dead? Oh good god yes. *Punches air*

If we're lucky, they'll pull a "Die Hard 4.0" - it's not brilliant but it's the perfect film a Die-Hard-made-year-later should have been. Hopefully Red Dwarf will manage the same thing.

Fingers crossed eh?

Oh dear. This doesn't look like A material from the boys. Danny John Jules has aged badly from the previous series. Hopefully the writing will be good though why they're tying it in with Coronation Street I haven't the foggiest...

As long as they're just doing this last series to finally give the show closer without doing what every necro'd show ends up doing and trying to push another 3/4/5 seasons then it'll be fine I think.

There's been plenty of time to write, review and rework any ideas they had for this so it shouldn't seem like some forced attempt at reviving something that possibly should have been left alone long ago.
