Just an argument me and my friend constantly have.
Wanted to see what Escapists thought.

Oh, and for those who don't know, an enchilada is basically a corn tortilla wrapped around cheese (typically) and covered in red or green chili (typically).

EDIT: They also TYPICALLY have chicken or meat.

I love the Swiss Enchiladas they are made of green sauce and white cream (they were originally red sauce and white cream, resembling the swiss flag, ergo "swiss enchiladas)

they sell them in Vips (a chain restaurant)

but i have to say my favourite are "Red Mole Enchiladas", google them up (enchiladas de mole)

are you from the US???? the REAL TYPICAL enchiladas are with stripped chicken or meat, and are covered in hot sauce, you may be talking about "burritos" the way you are describing Enchiladas haha

Well, I am from the US. New Mexico, specifically. And I guess I just neglected to add that there may be chicken or meat (I usually prefer them without).
And I hate the term "hot sauce" compared to chili, although that also may be me.

And burritos with corn tortilla...? ew.

Holy goddamn that looks delicious. Now I want one.

I tend to subconsciously relate green sauce to limes and lime flavor, while relating red to marinara. If anyone knows me, they know I have an insatiable love of marinara sauce. That, and I don't even like lime flavor in anything that isn't a drink.
So that makes red the clear winner.

Umm... red? Green?
One that looks like this:
That looks ridiculously delicious. Everything that's red tends to be spicier so red. But I have never seen one in my life.
