So as you are probably aware the escapist has gone through a re-design. I wanted to know the opinion of the community on this change.

I hate to be the "this thread's been done" guy but, this thread's been done, many times.
I'm not sure whether I like it or not, though I've kind of gotten used to it by now, I don't really see why they felt the need to change the layout in the first place.
