Would you rather be respected by most people, or feared by most people? I personally rather be respected because unless you have a lot of power, respect will usually get you farther in life.

Edit: Broken Poll

I think Robert Downy Junior as Tony Stark said it best. "Is it too much to ask for both?"

Respected, mostly cause its hard to lose respect if you have enough.

But also cause fear is very... fickle. You lose it once and the power is gone. SO unless I had total and absolute fear 24 hours a day, fear's not worth the inevitable loss.

Respect grants you most of the advantages of fear, without any of the drawbacks, so I'd choose that.

Most of the time yes because it's nearly impossible to be respected and feared.

It's alot easier to be feared than respected. If you ever get involved in someone else's dispute, for example, whichever side you take, you run the risk of losing someone's respect...but both sides can still fear you.

People respect me, somewhat because I always act like an upstanding citizen and always help other people out and always give 100% in everything I do. Mostly because I'm not that threatening, a baby could probably induce more fear in other people than I could.
